Just an idea, but what if there was some kind of perk to gain more experience from leveling alone. Since the player base is not so large anymore sometimes people are forced to level alone. Maybe there should be some kind of experience bonus or boost for this? Thoughts on this anyone?
Leveling perk
As someone will be bound to say "Yo foo, adventurer" I'm gonna throw out like a super questing perk that gains you double xp from them or something. But then we'll have all sorts of solo ranking people so I dunno. o.o
adventurer really helps. extra experience regardless of group or not.
Imms have changed it so you gain more exp when leveling alone I think as well.
more as in more than when in a group or as in just upped the amount you got period?
More experience when there's under a certain amount of players. 20 I think.
20... there is less then 20 whenever I am on, so thats not a drama ![]()
As I understand, you'll also gain more experience leveling through guild quests with under 20 people on.
Spend time finding out which mobs will give you 400+ exp at any given rank, then solo away. This includes c/c's too!
I did it, it's possible. Just takes time to figure them all out.

Already present in game for any character at character creation.

For everyone talking about the adventurer perk... the perks imo are already crappy so why would I pick an even crappier one like adventurer

my 3 favorite perks
Lucky is a great perk, just about everything in the game is touched by luck. Adventurer is great for remort wannabes/willbes (1-50 twice? yeah.) Mercy for none martial classes is awesome. Athletic for those looking for a slight edge. Sickly if you want to play a giant and not spend thirty hours training each weapon. Small if you just don't want to be seen with a thief/ninja/bard/ranger/druid. The list goes on. Addict? Alcoholic? Holy cow! All for nothing?
Or... you could have none of them. At all.
I'll take the crappy perk, please!
Adventurer is not crappy. I swear, whenever I pick it I see at least a 25%* increase in xp from kills. At least.

- if this number is odd to you, don't ask for math or 'proof' as it's all based on what I remember. But, it's easy enough to check out: Make an evil character: human warrior will say, go to the sewers, kill 10 mobs. Then remake with a evil human warrior with teh perk, goto the sewers, kill 10 of the same mobs. Average up the two.

What are you talking about? How can a free bonus be crappy? It doesn't cost your character anything to take a perk.
Also, why not just do guild quests if you are ranking alone. It's faster, you learn the lands better, and you get money. You can solo on guild quests with any class. (edit: my bad, Pali already said this, but I'm keeping it in.)
And perks are not crappy, they are awesome. Free hit roll/dam roll? Yes please. Free +luck? Yes please. Free 100 moves? Yes please. Free mastered staves/scrolls/wands? Yes please. Playing a good who is stuck in cabal warfare with other goods and get mercy? Yes please. Free increased health gain? Yes please. Customizing my race/class combo in a slight way to help maximize my strength or offset a weakness or just give me a little boost? Yes please.

Well, I agree. I do that think overweight, nimble, and unlucky are crap, because they do actually cost you something.
Sickly, Adventurer, Bookworm, Charismatic, Artificer, Tinkerer, Heroic are cool, but do not give you anything a little extra time in your character will garner.
I feel that Athletic, Healthy, Addict, and Lucky are the best for min/maxing. Merciful too if you are good.
The rest are alright, but more for flavor situations.
