Hello,
I haven't been on the forums long, so I don't know if something like this has already been suggested, but figured I would throw it out here anyways.
Most of the problem new players seem to have with FL is dying to a MOB or PK and not knowing how to get back to their corpse (mob death or PK) or coming back to an empty corpse (PK).
I would like to suggest making a selection when you create your character sort of like an adventurer. The only difference is this selection would keep you from EVER dying OR killing any other player. You could still PK and die, but instead of dying, you would only get stunned, and could not be killed. Also if you killed someone they WOULD die, but you could not loot anything (or maybe 2 things) from the corpse.
As a result of your nature as a char that cant die, you would NOT be able to wear or touch rare EQ. You could even set it up so that after a new player was at 50 for a bit, and learned the ropes, they could apply to become a regular char and get pushed back to 30 or so. (would have to work out loosing HP and trains and what not)
Just an idea. Kick it around. Let me know what you all think.

Raar had a very similar idea some time ago. A tiered PK system.
I liked that tiered PK system idea...
yes i would love something like this... except pking at 50 in non rare gear teaches you how to get 3 rounded. just my 2 cents. Non-unique maybe, but non rare? i'd hate to pk past 30 without option of rare items, this gimps melee classes alot, as most of the vul weapons are rare.
I didn't like Raar's, but I like this one.
I personally think its a good idea. But there has to be some kind of cost to losing a battle, or we will get people throwing themselves into a losing fight again and again and again and it will really get old FAST.
I recommend that instead of being unkillable or unlootable all the time, make it so that like 1/6 of the time you actually die and can be looted. I think it strikes a good balance. Not being able to possess any rares or uniques still apply of-course.
hmm.... only one problem i see with this... unkillable thiefs would be annoying as hell, even if they dont wear rares... just jacking everyones bags..
DKs without rare gear? Berserkers without rare gear? You may as well just let adventurers go all the way to 50.

Only trouble with adventurers is that they can still die, also they can not PK. And its not like you cant win a PK wearing chimera gear and titanium bracers with a DK, i admit it would be a little bit harder with a berserker, but not impossible.

Have you ever heard the saying, "A necro is at it's most dangerous point immediately after it's just died and taken a full loot." ??
Now imagine that same amount of dangerousness except give it a gigantic bashing/tripping mob.
I've never once heard that so-called saying, Mudder, and I disagree with it entirely.
However, a necro with no EQ but with a full army of zombies... now that remains a dangerous foe.
Well I have Pali. I agree with it. With my Necro, I was much more dangerous naked. I played more like a Shaman with sleep and that's how I EQed everytime after I died.
I'd find a warrior and just destroy him and wear his eq as my first re-eq set.
I preferred to just get a few zombies and then cone and ghoul touch an invoker into lagging himself to death.
You mean cone worked before 10+ attempts!?
My little brother recently started playing and he is learning a lot of things the hard way. I feel bad for the little guy.

its really not fun to learn the easy way...
That combo you picked will have plenty of bumps in the road. Wicked exp cost. shudder Kudos to you for having some balls though. Hope it all works out.
