INVOCKER INVOCKERS
Invockers is a profession of mages that forgoe the gallantry of other
wizards and use their tallents for channeling raw elemental forces to
create spells unmatched in their power by any other class. Capable of
altering elements they can enchant weapons and armor, as well as surround
themselfs with elemental shields each with its own function and benefits.
Towards the pinnacle of their ability the are capable of infusing the
raw arcane energy into common items to enhance their spells and reduce
strain to themselfs to the point where no other class is capable of
matching the terrifying destructive powers of a fully trained invocker.

No help on that word.
'Do you see where under your name it says senior member?
now. look under myas....

It's so cool, that even when you fail your storing you don't waste mana.
But Battlemages also have bad things. Like the 2 minutes i take to fully spell up.
After which i need to sleep because i am at 500 mana.
Or the extreme mana cost of its spells.
At least Sharp metal saves you with it's extremely low cost.
Invockers are a lot better on this department as they get you from zero to PK ready in 1 spell.
As a bmage you should NEVER have to fully cast up in one sitting.
Thats just bad spell management.
Keeping the long lasting spells (which also have a low cost) on all the time aka detect invis and armor and shield is easy. Cast it once and walk around.
Before combat you should only be:
1.picking your shield (manalock, reflec or force)
2.dancing your weapon,
3.casting blades
4.switching haste/slow as you need,
- casting plumbum if you have been to lazy to keep it up.
(6). Sometimes casting terrafield if its dropped.
Thats it. The rest should be up and ready at ANY time. (obviously sanction not included but thats a consumable, not a casting here.)
ca plum
You place a field of increased gravity around yourself.
ca blade
You summon a pair of deadly blades and phase them out of this reality.
ca dan maw
You breathe intelligence into the Shark's Maw and make it your servant.
ca ter
You weave magic and power around yourself creating a true Terra Shield.
ca ref
You pour energy into the air around you and create a reflective field of force.
Thats 200 mana used max
If you're doing more then that just before combat... Then sequencer isnt going to save you. ![]()

Rofl! Mya, you made a funny...
Hum, is that some Avian BMG ? Nice mana.
I have a different approach Aulian. When i started playing BMG i also used to have defences up and Blades/Dancing off. But then i changed tactic.
I now prefer to have Blades/Dancing ON all of the time, and not have defenses up. I have those stored in the Sequencer.
In worst case scenario i am 1 command away from full defenses, an act i reserve for true emergencies.
You should also not that is quite hard to have full mana on a BMG due to the mana cost of spells.
So when i to rush for for a battle i will have to cast:
-Terra
-Blur
-Air Shield
-Plum manum
-Enlarge (if i forgot)
-Force/reflective shield
And consumables:
-Flight
-Protection
-Santuary
If i am surprising someone then i will take the time to cast Cancel a few times and drop all spells. As i dont wish to go to battle and have Blades/Dancing/Detect invisi/Armor falling.
PS: Althou having defences is very nice, having the Offensive on alows you to be ready even if gaged by a thief. Due to sequencer.
930 max mana = nice? This from the queen of one practice training so you can get all those extra hp/mana boosts? Personally, not a single one of my mages has ever had less than 1k mana naturally at 50.
P.S. You leave defenses up instead of offenses because of two reasons: one, defenses actually keep you alive, and two, they tend to be spells that last longer anyways.

"Hum, is that some Avian BMG ? Nice mana."
I am actually happy that Aulian plays the less played Battlemage races.
As avian/avian presents more of a chalange on the player on this mana intensive class.
i recall that grosek was able to poon-poon pretty well with his avian sndi BMG a little more than a year ago. however, he's an elite player.
you're kidding right? Im **not **avian.. If i was going to play a battlemage.. I **WOULD ** be avian...
The last battlemage I played (the only one Ive played) - Tarandil, managed to do pretty damn fine as an avian.
This is an old shelved character from LONG ago. Ranked to pinn. Has 0 deaths and 0 pks and I lost interest completely ![]()
I do not have an anti-Mya crusade. I have an anti-Mya tick. It kicks in sometimes. ![]()

You mean that is a human. I feel cheated on my mana now. ![]()
