Suggestion for few connections between areas

I was thinking if this will be a good idea to connect Falen dara to east to Forest of Banor and possibly Forest of Banor to east with the North Road. Almost all of the starting areas has two exits, except Illithids probably, so I wonder if we give sliths and minotaurs one more path could make it more interesting and more flexibly when you need to run from someone?

On a second thought connecting forest of banor with north road won't be good because of Knight/Nexus war, but I see no reason not to connect Falen Dara to Forest of Banor?

Only thing that I can see is the easier time Watcher/Rangers/Druids would have kiting people.  Even that argument isn't really that strong.

You didn't mention how, but I think I'd rather having a connecting area between the two rather than a straight room link.  At least with a connecting area, you can do another off-shoot area Tainted Valley/Shudde M'ell style.

Yes, probably non-forest area will be good indeed, I just find it better slith city to have two exits and a way to move if someone chasing you and you are on small hp for example.

As we're on the topic of home towns.

Gualorium is listed as the faerie hometown but it's not a choice for them.  Same with Airia for avians.  If they were, you'd have a small cluster of five hometowns within an area of each other.  Khorandain is one area away from Maelbrim, Tarandue, Airia and Gualorium, with two ways to get to the last two.

Deliverance is pretty pigeon-holed, too.  Outer limits to Exile (and get stuck due to lack of key [I haven't found it inside the city, only on the guard outside the gate]) or into Miruvhor/Volcano.  Either way, your choices are limited for an area or three.

How evil would it be to connect the north of Miruvhor Forsaken Lands with the Dragon Road Forsaken lands?  Put a sign west of the sand wyrm telling you to tread lightly...

As is the Hive which you mentioned earlier, except the Sewer connection.

Fewer area connections (and areas!) is actually better. You want traffic to flow on routes, not freely for interaction purposes (both RP and PK).

If you want more tactical positioning and area considerations, you have to create a tactical environment.

A low population game should have a similarly small-sized world (room count). Our game area is way, way too big.

We can always expand the depth/quality of our current areas. We need far less breadth.

Edited

Bread?  What does bread have to do with the game areas?  I need a PB&J now.  Preferably with the crusts cut off.

I don't understand why those racial hometowns where removed. You used to be able to pick airia, right?

Used to, yes.

Too much of a bonus I guess.

Looking across the slith hometown it really should be connected to the dragon sea at some point. Half the city is dedicated to ships for 18 water rooms.

Those rooms are an oversight IMO. That city is not ALL original FL content. Would be interesting to see some RP toward remodeling it.
