word of recall on mobs

If this can already be done, great, just let me know, as I can't readily test it. But often I find that evils will summon a good mob to try to make my good character kill it on accident and get damned. I think the good character should be able to 'word of recall' the mob back to his home.

Or if not, then do not damn a goodie for killing any mob that is not in it's home?

Thing is, that's a legitimate tactic, and as such will probably not be removed, I'd guess. And also, they must be following you to be recalled. So no.

Just move away from the mob in question, and be very careful flinging area spells around when fighting someone who can summon. It is a legitimate tactic though, so I doubt it will change.

I understand it is a legitimate tactic, I am just saying there should be a legitimate counter tactic as well.

You can either not use area spells, or choose not to fight them in that place. All you have to do is go a few rooms away, and their mob summoning just wasted a lot of mana. Summoning also has a sizable lag, so those non-area spells are effective. If all else fails, leave the area. Welcome to the more defensive life of goods.

Although, I can't imagine what class you are having a problem as. Invokers do not -need- area spells against those classes that can summon (except maybe decked clerics), and bmgs are hardly bound by flashfire. Ninja can push and have fired weapons, and rangers have fired weapons. Bard's season is dangerous anyways. What else?

My suggestion is to use some of the 10000 consumables available to goodies to more than counteract this basic strategy.

Edit: Good cleric's earthquake? Doubtful though.

Goodie clerics don't get earthquake.
