Moving all Q-things to L50.

Ok, we no longer have the numbers we had 8 years ago. Our player base interactions mostly happen at L50, no longer a L30 and L50.

If you have lots of free time like me, you can get the PK requirements. But you can't avoid the cheapiness that it feels to get murdered by a L15 with L30 pets (which should not happen but can happen), or facing people with uber gear at L30.

It also sucks because you can't really do much at L30. You can't join groups and develop RP while you assist gear. It's harder to get RP points. Its harder to get attacked to a character that you mostly idle on. You can't really contribute much to stuff.

Look at Crusaders. You can be an Elder in some Cabal and when you get bored with the char you can make the transition to Crusader.

You can be Lloth and end up 1 year waiting for a Demon app BUT still be able to leave your mark on the world.

The HP and mana one would gain can easily be granted by reward trains by the quest. This would be great for Demons and Undead due to the number of classes they can chose and that each has different priorities.

It would also aid to hide Vamp Mascarede, because when you spend hours at L30, everyone knows what you are doing.

Should be the same for restrings imho. Frustrating to get denied one when you barely figure out what you want to be. No one plays at 30 these days. Wouldn't we want to encourage people to play the game while figuring things out? Or discourage them from playing until they figure what they want to do and be?

Edited

This is fine but also have them all selectable at character creation.

Strongly disagree on this point.

I can easily, easily, have 50 RP points before an adventurer chooses a class.

If you want to fix it based on Player Kills at low levels...

My knee jerk response is to say eliminate the PK requirement. 20 RP to apply, 40 RP to apply without PK requirement.

Example: Mumrah was a lich who antagonized the Thundercats, never succeeding in killing even one of them. But it remains a very memorable Character.

Report this, it is in direct violation of a divine mandate unless you instigate the fight against the character with those mobs.

Now this I really like. Let me declare at creation my intent and be held to a higher standard throughout my career.

The Idea as it stands removes one major factor, having to gain levels while the world knows your true nature.

May as well have said, I want an undead but do not want to fight a healer who has a level advantage.

Or, I want to play a demon, but do not want Watchers after me before I hit 50.

Simply put, I want rewards without risks.

Yeah that and you could select it then the creation code can then make sure you dont pick the wrong religion for example.

Restrings can be done at any level, though. It's a 5 rp thing and a well written app will get you more than enough. You don't even have to spend that 5 rp, you just have to have it (or get it from the app)

I've been denied it at 50 before. So my option was to keep playing a race I didn't really want to play thus deteriorating my motivation (not to mention the embarrassment of pretending I was something else the whole time then suddenly I'm not lol) or waste all the time I put in and restart the character.

Tassin, the problem with your app was that you'd already been playing that char for like a month or two. Why would they suddenly be something else? It made no sense and you did not bring the rp to back it up. -> Journal WHY you are suddenly another race would have helped.

Lol this was largely explained  in my history in addition to my rp notes in game between Knights and Warmasters regarding Val Miran even before I applied. I think my char was shelved for a bit too before I decided to play him more seriously, maybe that seemed why it was sudden. But no one even knew who he was before that point so I didn't really see the issue with it. It was just a big bummer for me and made me realize I had to have a plan BEFORE actually starting a character. In this case I started the character to test out some new changes first.

Love it when IMMs try to tell you who/what/how your character should be played or RPd instead of assisting you reach the goals you have with your character. I remember pulling of an incredible RP for like a month but instead of approving my app for what I wanted, I was force-fed something I did not ask for nor want (in hindsight sure it was cool and unique and to this day never been done before) but that does not change the fact that it is my time I choose to play and my prerogative on what I want to play.

Not necessarily true.

I have a tendency to alter the tempo of the song leading you to dance the dance I choreographed for you.

And I am not even an immortal. 🎭

Suck it up boys and girls, long, slow and painful is the business model of growth for this game. Its not what 'you want to play' but what the immortals 'allow you to play' when they feel like allowing it to happen, its a privilege to put your time in here so treat it as such.
