City raids.

Nice to have them back. Nice to get exp and gold for killing the raiders.

Do you get exp and gold for killing the guards if you're all for helping the town get turned to rubble? If not, I am sure the watchers would enjoy what little help it would be if those who wanted to kill the guards would get rewarded instead of just those who want to save the towns. Something to think about maybe.

indeed, something to think about.

The mobs in town are do not give experience usually though they do give gold.

we want exp! we want exp! we want exp!

I on behalf of the watchers union of slavedrivers, derive, that we under the codex of some law marty needs to right, that all mobs in town give exp.

so it has been said

so it shall we written.

My idea was mainly to offset the goodie twoshoes who run to the town being raided and kill off all the raiders. Leaves us meanies off in the woods killing other stuff. It could add a bit of excitement to have seperate groups with seperate desires battleing for one side or the other during a raid.....I don't know, I like it like it is I just think it could be better with this implemented.

I remember back in the day actually ranking in Val Miran off the guards with my party, lol.

The ones who raid the cities already get bonus' and other special things. They don't need EXP or gold for killing the guards IMHO.

I think Teurlain's point was that what if someone wanted to help the raiders by killing off the city guards that auto attack the raiders and what not.

Ah. I thought he meant the ones who initiated the whole raid itself would get a bonus for killing the guards. I see. So he means those who are unlawful and want to wreck havoc in the cities should get bonus' for boinking the guards that are supposed to be defending the cities? That's cool.

Although I like the idea, I think that the idea of a raid should be kept to benefitting only those directly involved. What I mean is, that whoever calls the raid, will get the benefits from the raid. Although slaying the raiders gives benefits too, those who choose to fight the raiders are just the natural opposition. If someone wanted to see a more successful raid they can still help with the guards, but I think the benefits for the attacking side should be kept to the raiding party only.

I may well be wrong, but aren't raiders of a neutral alignment? That would mean any power-hungry evil, lawful or unlawful, could choose to attack the raiders for gains too. Just because they're evil or unlawful doesn't mean they to work against the town if working with it produces benefits.

Just my thoughts anyway. It's still a good idea and would work either way.

Dey

heh heh... I helped in a raid in Val and got Outlawed for it! First outlawed char to boot! Marty, here I come with my third thief for you!

Easiest way to get outlawed? Attack Tribunal cabalguardian. If Marti is around, it'll mean insta outlaw.

Um, yeah. Attacking a cabal guardian is akin to declaring war on a cabal, in this case one that outlaws their enemies.
