Mastery Skill

I was thinking... Why is it that when we have a certain skill mastered that it doesnt help some of our other skills.

What i'm saying is that, Why dont we have it so that when you master one skill it will help another skill or give you something special to add to the fact that you took hours to master it.

Like if i had a Bard, and i mastered hide.. well then maybe i should be able to detect the presence of other hidden because i know what to look for.

or when a Warrior masters Charge he get's a little something something to his trip or another ability.

that kind of stuff. I was just thinking it would be intresting and it would give you something to smile about when you master something other than the ability to pk.

Fully trained blademasters are scary enough. And this would just further the devision between us casual players, and those who can put in 12+ hours a day.

Not to mention that there are a number of skills and spells which will do radically different/fun/exciting/scarey things when they are at 100% profficeincy or more. It is a good idea, but too much of a good thing can get overdone.

well why not make it for just a certain amount of skills.

Help Mastery

Syntax: Mastery

Once a person has achieved the height of their guild and mastered every spell, skill and song available they may call upon their guild for reimbursement for the fame they have brought to their guild. When this ability is invoked, the player is given a special item for the work he has done, an item which only he can touch, which when worn increases a great number of skills and spells specialized to his guild and profession.

What would you think of something like that?

Like...

A full trained warrior, with EVERY skill mastered (which takes a very, very long time) might get like...a belt or something that does +5 trip, +5 charge, +5 riposte.

Skills do already affect other skills. For example, the chance of a successful blackjack does not depend only on the blackjack skill. Of course, not all skills are related to one another, but they are not all independent of each other either.

If you're at 50 and have every skill mastered, apply for Hero. Seriously. Then go get a REAL life.

Also, as was said, some skills do different things when mastered as they are now. Having some skills mastered can affect other skills of yours. As it is, do you REALLY want ninjas to get a nice boost to something once they master assassinate? Do you REALLY want thieves getting a boost to something once they master dual backstab?

Heh, that warrior would need an age - 200 belt a lot more than any tripping or bashing bonusses

Nah, my last ogre warrior had ever skill mastered by 150 hours.

Didn't stop me from sucking...I actually CONDIED with ZERO kills...

Decided then, no more ogres for me. Ever.

How the hell could you have ZERO kills with every skill mastered?

I gave up playing Godwars muds long ago

Cuz I CAN'T play warriors...at all.

I got my *** owned by a ninja in a duel...so the next day I was challenged by the SAME ninja to a duel...with my paladin who was 6 ranks below the rank of the ninja...and I won. Lost with an ogre warrior...to a ninja, won with a paladin 6 rank below...somethin screwed up there, so I haven't played an ogre or warrior since.

I hate godwars so much...

An RL friend of mine used to host one and I helped him out a bit with building and ****. I created a char there once...I was able to full train and peak a char and get him ready for pk in like 2 hours...

Ya, they have something similar, but training here is SOOOO much harder than training in god wars...

How the hell could you have ZERO kills with every skill mastered?

I can do it, it isn't that hard.

Like I said, this would further increase the dividend between those who can play all day and those of us who can't. So feh on owner only items for people with no life.

I can do it' date=' it isn't that hard.[/quote']

Yeah, but I thought that having no PK talent was something only you could claim. ^_~

Takes a very secure individual to admit to condeathing a character without getting a single kill. Or a very desperate one.

Ya I mean, surely you accidentilly killed somone.

Its possible not to be able to kill anyone. Try being a outcast faerie darkknight... Good luck killing mobs...

I wasn't an active pker much with the char. Most of the pk fights I had were shamans/invokers/clerics multikilling me for the bounties that were CONSTANTLY on me for no apparent reason.

I DID mercy a few people, but I never got a kill.
