Perks affecting stats

It's not really needed, but wouldn't it be interesting to have some more fluctuating changes of your stats based on perks you choose? Such as educated giving you a +1 to intelligence and a -1 for strength to balance it out? Overweight +300lb carrying capacity, but fewer items to be held in their inventory on top of the boost to the lag damage.

Obviously it's not something people seem to want a demand for, but in a world where stats have mostly remained the same except in small changes, I figured this could also give perks a slightly new life to them on top of giving more flare to them overall. The possibilities could potentially be endless if it does stir interest, but I'm really posting to see how many people say it's stupid.

Fluctuating stats make fundamental sense.

In many books and movies we see one character as much stronger or more intelligent than another of the same race, yet in our world all "pick race not human" are exactly the same.

I agree that I also am not sure its necessary but it is an interesting Idea.

Its why I posted the ion stone idea a while back.

It makes sense to me as well. It also makes the game different enough that it could make other combinations more viable to play as well. It wouldn't ever affect your vuln, but it could possibly give them a slight edge too.

What it wouldn't do though would be allowing you to boost a stat over 25 so it could potentially be that the race couldn't select said perk, or if they did it wouldn't push it beyond the 25 stat so you don't have 26 strength fire giants out there.

To me it makes the game even more replayable, but the downside is the lack of players as is. Maybe we could use a new weapon or armor piece to be dropped off like Kreyis to bring more incentive. If you already have kreyis, trying to grab the other item should slip from your grasp like the jade stud if you try to use two.
