While sitting around thinking of what this game could possibly be missing I starting thinking of what made it all great in the past. Many cool things happened that changed history in this game, for instance everyone always talks about the shade invasion, however I feel that if something like that happened now and one of our lvl 10's got wrecked by a shade we would quickly delete, pissed. But sitting around at 50 everyone there isn't much to do outside of quests and getting what you need to pk in, then it's waiting to fight or die.
I think we could remedy this by adding a new challenge to the game, or three!
Challenges
Challenges could be something that happen randomly, like clan quests but everyone gets the opportunity to complete it.
A challenge has occurred! The challenge keeper requires a party to conquer Gear!
You could add a score system for damage done/healing/taking damage
Prizes could include lockboxes/cps/gold/rp points even.
Invaders
This would work similarly to challenges but instead of having to go there they would invade an area.
Zha'rek and an army of changed clockmen and warlords have invaded elium forest!
I came up with this idea first but I rather like the challenges one more. However, I think they are both interesting ideas.
HEROS
This one is by far my favorite and I think it would really add a lot of fun. Heros could be like bots in a sense, I thought it them originally like mobs that could be dressed in full
sets of eq and use skills/spells. Like, A black knight comes into Maelbrim and begins attacking the villiage, he would chase much more quicker than a regular mob does and killing him would yield the same rewards as a pk would.
Also, I like this one a lot more
Create toons that are full on ready for pk, nothing too bad ass but definitely able to hold their own, have the imms log them regularly and stir things up. They can be ganged, killing one
would yield the rewards of a pk but all the eq would rot on any deaths, or return to the toon.
