The Coalition

Recently I have read some interesting arguments about the merchant cabal being its own private entity. Now I do not believe there is any conflict of interest in the Merchants being part of the Cartel, with one small exception. Every Merchant we have, is one less bounty hunter we can have, and vice versa.

Meanwhile, we have the Herald cabal which sits virtually empty year after year. Do the Heralds need an upgrade? Of course.

We also have quite a few noble and royal characters running around right now, unfortunately they are forced to work alone as they no longer belong to a greater clan.

I believe we have an opportunity to make a positive change for the future when I consider all of these elements. We could build a new conglomerate, the Coalition. A team of factions working together for the improvement of character life in Aabahran. Whether an individual seeks to govern, teach, or even supply others, some small amount of education or training will be necessary. We could implement changes that allow the Academy to be the feeder clan for the Nobles, Merchants, and Heralds. Furthermore, we can expand the Great Library, add a wing for the Noble houses, as well as a wing for the Merchants. The possibilities of cabal purchasable items being added to the Coalition Complex, are exciting to say the least. Because this coalition would have three separate entities within its walls, its maximum capacity should be greater than a stand alone faction. Perhaps 20 as opposed to 10.

Just an Idea that I saw floating in my coffee.

Roll a Noble Herald and head it up. ;)

ON IT!!!!

It'd be interesting to see the Coalition Complex opened up to the public and have the vendors sell specific items. So, if you are in an NA-Pact, Trade, or Alliance with the complex you will be able to purchase things from the vendors.

So, if Knight, for instance, is allied with them then they might be able to buy specific items. Or, even better, if the cabal is allied with the Coalition then the feeder clan members are able to buy items that might increase experience gain, training speed, and movement regen.

Additionally, this is where we can implement pets for ease of hunting. So, the Coalition might have a vendor that gives a buff to whatever cabal holds the LEAST amount of land or has the LEAST amount of members in order to push players that direction to create more RP by creating adversaries.

See this is why we should have discussion, no matter how painful it can be at times. Out of mediocre ideas come better ones, and eventually great ones. This is a great idea. This takes the problems of newbie experience, merchant bias, and poor leveling experiences, and answers them all in a balanced, RP driven way. Bravo.

Really loving the Herald + Merchant joining for the betterment of the game.

Love this idea too. Needing to be associated with them in some way (if already cabaled) to gain there services or be blacklisted from the ENTIRE Coalition. The individual characters would now have a CHOICE motivated by there own agenda, align, ethos on whether they wish to ally with Syndicate or Knight or Trib for additional protection.

Why would Merchants that push for the betterment of the game ally with Syndicate/Nexus when they aren't usually the ones with empty cabals?
