We are time stamping. Note the time you started moving and the time you hit 20 and 30.
Reached level 15 in 1 ohour. @0 in 2 hours. Etc

So we're going to 30, yeah?
Sure.
15 minutes and I am level 11 7:05-7:20. Gotta log off for a meeting
7:45-7:54 lvl 15. pausing to write desc
8:06-8:22 lvl 20.
15, 9, 16 minute increments. 40 minutes to level 20.
What're you ranking?
Your mistake is hunting at all as a mage. Guild quests are way faster.
The only exception being if you are neutral or evil and you hunt mantis' in the labyrinth from lvl 11-18 or something like that.

I did almost nothing but guild quests. I only hunted if there was a quest i couldnt do like kill brambus
Don't do hard quests. It isn't worth it for ranking.

A non warrior/ranger melee? :D
And look at the difference. In this thread you went to lvl 11 in 15 minutes.
On another thread it took you 3 hours to hit lvl 14...

I was given 1 quests from 1-14 that i couldnt do. I think the extra exp was worth it.

im not on a C/C
Lol. But you are doing guild quests on your melee and you tried to solo hunt on your cc? Then you complain about the gap...
If you only do quests then your race class only matters when factoring experience penalty.

You are so lost in this conversation.
I am hunting on my melee. I was doing guild quests on the C/C.
I was just checking that you're doing a melee while I will do an avian bmg.

Yes sir. Got to lvl 20 in 40 minutes to the dot.
@Manual Labour
On an avian bmage I am lvl 14 after 3 hours. Tbh I can't remember how much of that time was spent idle in my guild due to work and/or hunting due to being given 1, maybe 2, hard quests I couldn't complete. (Killing brambus, and some mob in the sewers ive never seen before)
On a gnome thief I got to lvl 14 in under 1 hour.
On a pure melee I am lvl 20 @ 40 minutes.
I hope that helps bring you some clarity on what is being discussed/compared/experimented with. Trick is going to level a C/C and time stamp his progression like I've done with my melee.
I think using mud quests as the "answer" is ineffective when looking at the issue as a whole.
A new, or newer player cant grind those with any speed.
So if we do happen to get a newbie, and they follow the Maelbrim quest line, they will wonder why our game is so freaking slow. As it stands now you have to have intimate knowledge of several areas, and know what pets to obtain.
So wait a second...
You're asking that we increase the speed at which newer players can get to 50, but people have argued in the past that the learning curve is too steep for them at 50... but those younger levels are meant to be slower in order for them to learn the game...
Huh...
Also... any questline for anyone on any new MUD is going to be slow because you don't know the steps, instead you have to read, learn, explore, and figure it out which is the point of PvE in any game...
dude, dieing to oozes while you get 1 hit a round scratching them isnt learning, its boring as hell, frustrating, and you spend more time sleeping than leveling.

I think it could be done in both ways to where veteran players can speed through that part while newer players have a "guided" way to get there, a little slower, while learning all the tricks of the trade so to speak.
