Non-Balance Idea Brainstorming

This thread is to gather ideas/suggestions that aren't related to PK balance. The purpose is to get us a list of potential ideas to develop. So please post any other ideas that you want to be considered. Links to threads if it has been proposed before and/or complex. Also please reply in this thread stating which ideas are most interesting to you.

A beginning list:

  1. Title revamp. There is a list on the imm forum that converts monk titles from stock to FL-unique (chinese monk theme). There are many classes with stock titles and a change for some of these could reasonably be compiled within a day.

  2. Warcry/sacrifice restring suggestion to include more default options.

  3. Gossip/rumor system. Another version here. Looks like the original thread was lost due to a forum failure. @f0xx's revival gets the gist of it.

  4. Automated monthly report on cabal numbers and player race/class distribution (two things currently posted manually by @Anume). Preferably in raw and timeline formats.

  5. Player account system that keeps a (private) history of our previous characters. Optionally linked to the forum.

  6. Command or score showing spell levels.

  7. Merchants ignore align restrictions for carrying items (not equipping).

  8. Ignore/block forum control fixed. @Celerity votes no. Not really a game issue.

  9. Adventurers can select hardcore on remort.

  10. New socials.

  11. New limitations on bounties to stop random bountying.

  12. Email/forum notifications from the game. (e.g. cabal acceptance).

  13. p/s/emotes logged and replayed by replay says.

Give Merchants the ability to carry neutral, evil, and good items in inventory to sell to all alignments.

Ignore forum control fixed?

Nothing seems wrong with it, except the fact that the sidebar displays the content which you've chosen to ignore. I can put in a ticket to Invisionpower about that, but if you go directly to a post by someone you ignore, it doesn't show that content.

Allow good merchants. Having Merchants being evil in nature (Syndicate) is a wasted potential. Merchants should be a faction, this would allow evils/neutral to join Syndicate and PK. All to join Heralds and thus PK protection of Heraldy. And Lawful to join Tribunal council.  Having merchants in the Tribunal council would make huge for the game RP department, as they get to be lords of a city and during the down time be merchants.

Yeah Merchants as part of Syndicate was always bat shit crazy.  In swings the whole balance of FL toward Evil.  I love the idea of it being a faction that you can take alongside Herald / Tribunal, that makes perfect sense.
