Changes [12/22/2015]

Changes for the last week of December:    General   - Dodge & Parry change reverted.     - Dodge is dependent on luck.     - Parry is dependent on dex and luck.   - Dodge & Parry are now capped.     - Mages and Communers at 105%     - Melees and Rogues at 110%.    Warriors   - Shield Bash tweaked.     - No longer causes hunger/thirst increase. (bug)     - Auto shield bash reduced slightly.     - Shield bash damage capped.     - Increased formula for weight of shield to cause more damage.        - it’s harder to hit hard with a low-weight shield.     - Fixed shields from always deflecting arrows and other thrown objects.        - it’s easier to deflect arrows the lower the weight of your shield.        - to increase the damage caused by shield bash, find a heavier shield.        - it’s harder to block small thrown items (bard, ninja, thief throws).  - Weapon lock is no longer made ineffective by shield lore.  - Landslide edge damage increased 100%.     - Shield lore cannot reduce damage, or lag from landslide warriors.   Items  - Shifu’s shawl now has a chance to fail.     - it now damages the user when used.     - lag has been added to success, slight 1 round lag to failure.

So dodge is solely dependent upon luck?

Is there a luck cap?

Awesome, looking forward to checking out these changes and how the game is growing. Now we just need to get our Pbase back up! Tell your friends!!!

Luck is a stat, like strength, dex, and con. It's capped at 25 like the rest.

Does this mean that First parry and Second parry for monks is also affected by this change? I assume so, but thought I would ask.

Monks are different in this change. As far as I know, there's no way to increase first parry or second parry over 110%.

Reread this post and realized I misinterpreted what the change to dodge/parry was.
