Shamans are dead?

Yes. Shamans ARE dead. I racked my brain trying to come up with a reason why shamans would be dead. Why they would not be played. Why someone would not want to be the essence of disease, and malady. I came up with one reason.

You all complained until healers got put OUTSIDE cabals. Now at the time it seemed a balancing idea. But since this change was implemented, the shaman class has all but vanished. It was made too easy to undo all the work a shaman does. You spend 3-5 combat exchanges trying to land a few key mals. The moment you do the little rat can just run off to his cabal and cure off all your hard work!

So my suggestion is as follows. Cabal healers exist both INSIDE and OUTSIDE the cabal. The ones OUTSIDE have a cooldown of 0 hours. So you cannot cure all the mals in rapid succession. You have to choose which mals are most critical for you to get rid of. You actually have to go back to running intelligently and not just in random directions til you outpace the poor SOB.

No. Stop talking. Healers outside of cabals is what made it so you can't sit inside like a puss. Want me to roll a shammy?

Unless you're not suggesting at the same time that being diseased allows you inside again. If that's the case, proceed. <3

I am NOT suggesting letting diseased people in. I am saying that the healer OUTSIDE the cabal has a cooldown. The RP behind it could be he does not keep all the materials outside that are kept inside. The one inside has access to all stocked materials.

Diseased people should NOT be allowed in. But the big problem with them being allowed in cabals was they could cure the mals so quickly, and heal to their hearts content. Now they can heal the things quickly, and go hide and heal to their hearts content. Just not IN the cabal. I just think in hindsight that the change was a bit hasty, without giving thought to the consequence.

Bring them back to life then.

Remember that when he is curing mals, you can be there to be re-casting them.

Also, what's the prob with them being outside? It's not like there's not one in every city...

I complained about this to no end, when playing a shaman. You get screwed as more and more curatives are added to the game.

I like twins idea, I would raise you making it so they have a 50/50 chance to fail curing the shamans spells.

Healer's outside cabal's don't heal everything (I know, I needed something done the other day and ended up waiting out a timer) - not by a long shot. Cps are also finite and not all shaman mal's are curable.

Also, some cabal are SO far from town healers that its nigh on impossible to fight a shaman (to defend) and not get you're moves bled dry (which I believe is why healers were put outside). Most shaman are also too chicken to chase for the kill away from their 'safe' area's near cabals or large area's.

Yea, the change so far has stopped cabals from saving lives for no reason other than the character could run far enough. As long as healers stay outside and no one can get in without having their pk timer up, I'm largely ambivalent.

Seems like everyone has forgotten how people would run at their cabals every time when poisoned and sit there for hours

Everyone has DPS...damage per second...A shamans is just really low.

My shammy had 1k dps. Crit included.

if anything had over 1000 dmg a second in this game, it would be horribly unfair.

wait, i never thought i'd see a thread about how shamans are unplayable. I don't get it.

OK I'll make a comeback with a shaman and show u all how nasty a certain shammy combo is. shammys are about knowing what to land and wearing down your enemy. I can beat a halfer blm as a shammy. its hard and drawn out but doable. welcome back me.
