Scrolls Wands Staves, what kind of effects do you use?
Not talking about herbs, but do you use this skill limited consumables on anything other than basic Flight or Sanctuary?
If so on what? If not, why not?
Classes, who has what:
Scrolls (only): Thief
Staves (only): Ranger
Wands + Scrolls: Dark Knight, Bard
Staves + Scrolls: Monk, Ninja, Paladin
ALL: Battlemage, Invoker, Necromancer, Cleric (Shaman+Healer)
I use anything at my disposal.
I use staves, wands, scrolls for anything I can......
Esuna, all ac buffs, fly, protection, detect traps, remove traps, missile immunity, plague poison blindness.
I dont really see where your going here Mya...
What Emp said, no idea what's your point with this thread my love, especially considering it's in this section of the forum.
I use staves, wands, scrolls for:
all ac buffs
remove traps
plague
poison
blindness.
You actually use the invulnerability scroll?
There is a something that actually removes traps?
You actually use the rare scroll of Plague/poison/blindness?
To F0xx, the point is to actually check if people are using this things. Not just knowing they exist. I for example know of the Plague/poison/blind scroll, but I only used it once. Never had it used once on me.
F0xx, do you actually use any of these stuffs?
The invulnerability scroll is very useful for certain classes. Haven't really used the plague/poison/blindness rare scroll you talk about but I've used everything Emp talks about. I will just show you what one of the sacks in my inventory currently holds:
A sack holds:
a scroll of infinite identification
( 4) a scroll of detect traps
( 4) a scroll titled 'jhyfrdow'
a wand of steel kites
a wand of armor plates
a map of Maelbrim
(20) a scroll of defusion
(22) a scroll of missile immunity
( 5) A feathered scroll of flying
Plague poison blind scroll is awesome for a thief if you are fast and they all land.
I know it is expensive to use all that stuff. But I have this problem in my head. If I know the buff exists, and that I can get it, I feel like something is eating away at my soul, or that I am just "giving up" if I do not use EVERYTHING I can.
That is actually a big obstacle to overcome. You should get used to using what you need to win, instead of full preps when they aren't always needed.
There is no need to have any AC buff if they don't melee. You don't need lag protection up if they can't lag, etc.
The increased speed you have (and ease of management/mind) from not prepping fully is often more decisive than the preps themselves.
