Ok. So what if when you Dcheck, you can rank past 15 without your description approved if there are no IMM's on...Then you can get checked when an IMM logs on, and fix your description if needed. Just a thought, I hate being stuck at 15. ![]()

Easily abused, but I like the concept. It, really, is a good time to train if it happens.
I think the whole can't level past 15 system is outdated and broken. If nothing else I believe it should be as someone suggested a long time ago about saving up the XP that you would have gotten to be put through when your desc is approved. Dcheck is better than it was, and is a vast improvement to what it was before, but I think its up for another tweak. Maybe raise the desc cutoff cap? Maybe do the XP thing like was stated previously. Who knows, but something would be nice. Being FULLY trained @ 15 and still waiting for your desc to get approved SUCKS.
Do your desc at level 1 and dcheck. Chances are high then that you won't have to wait at 15.
We won't raise the level barrier for several reasons, amongst them commitment to the character, rp background for the character, we don't want stale chars to pk without a desc and some rp background, etc.
It seldom ever happens that it takes longer than a couple hours to get approved these days.
'Is dcheck a command in game? Or is that just the term for praying to immortals to look at you thing?
Never ask the immortals to look at your thing. Dcheck is an in command game, if the Imms don't reply to your first few prayers, you type dcheck, and it saves it and flags you for the imm's even if you are not logged on. (i believe)
I actually like the idea simply because it's happened to be on several characters. And I did it at level 1 and it took over 12 hours on the majority and in one of the instances it w as much longer than 12 hours. A couple times I've actually thought I forgot to dcheck on two of them so I did it again in the hopes that that was my problem. Turns out I didn't forget and I refuse to post in prayers about a description check not being accepted. Unfortunately this has meant that I mastered a few things. I like the built up experience that you can receive after you've been approved. Perhaps do the same for people who do autoexp for people doing qrace/classes and it kills two birds with one stone really. I actually prefer that idea over the ranking passed level 15.

Exactly what I was going to suggest.
Wrong thread.
I think I've said that before, but I will say it again - description checks are the thing I face every time I try to bring someone new. It's like a brick wall you meet so early and feels like you ask for a permission to play the game. IMHO, changing the description system should be a priority, if not changing it, then at least rising the bar till at least rank 30.
And I don't think writing your desc at rank 1 is a solution, considering a very recent character of mine waited 4 days for a dcheck ![]()
PS. Again guys (IMMs), don't take that as a flame towards the guy who checks description, but more like an appeal to change the system.

I'm just wondering that why you bothered with that specific point, f0xx.
One possible solution (maybe not likely, but suggestion regardless):
Make lower level ranking slower. Not harder, but slower. That will ensure that people have something to do, especially if they write desc at lvl 1. If enough mugwort is used, the exp-gain from passed desc could be increased to compensate.
Another suggestion:
Add time-limit to how long a character is stuck at level 15, like 48h (regardless of on/offline). Counter starts automatically when two conditions are met: 1) character must be at least level 15, 2) player must have used dcheck-command. If the description is not attended at all once the timer hits zero, that character can gain levels, but the dcheck-flag remains. Eventually, if character's description does not pass the check, the character is level-stuck again and won't gain levels until either description is approved or the 48h passes again. This solution does not solve the issue totally, but kills the possibility for 4-days waiting. In cases of blatant misuses the punisment would be harsh.
Yet another suggestion:
For characters at level 15 and description unchecked, cut the exp-gain to 1 of 10th, or 100th.
A suggestion I'd like to voice yet again:
Have a counter that counts the exp a character gains during the halt, and have it added (automagically, of course) to the total gained exp once the desc gets approved. Gives a reason to continue with hunting, or whatever you're doing to gain exp.

My thoughts exactly ^^
i REALLY like the bulk up the exp idea. Hell I like the idea of being able to store experience any time you autoexp. Would make thouse 50 hour app waits so much more bearable ![]()

Too bad it's so badly abusable.
Most definitely. Then at least when you convert you can be either already a level ahead or at least not so far back that it sucks to try and level now. I usually get my experience to just under 1000exp or so and then autoexp if I'm going for something. Then if you do it at 50 and are waiting for approval or something you can spend it up once you revert and end up at like level 10 or so in a fast drop.
I'm not the best RPer out there, or even close most of the time, but here's an idea. Before you make the character write the description. How is powerleveling to 15 then writing a description helpful to roleplaying?
