Lets change the training a tad bit. I dont see a reason why you cannot get skills higher than 80% until lvl 15. Even though training was cut in half, this still tacks on time for training because you have to get to lvl 15 for anything to go up. Any thoughts?
Training
My thoughts: Get to 15, then train. It's not like you need hours to master parry, and you can train before you get your dcheck. Man up...
While I agree with Twinoobs, Ghrundor has a point too.
What is the reason for not being ably to train before lvl 15?

Search your mind, your heart, and the Spirit of RP and PK. Combine them. Swirl them together like the ice cream of goodness. You'll find the answers you seek, Brother Foxx.

I like this nickname you have for me. This way I don't have to dispel the myth that you are witty and clever like your handle suggests. ![]()
The reason Viri and I put in the stipulation that you can't train above 80% until you're 15 is because, because there should be a risk of death/looting while training. That's been in there for a long time. Couple this with the need to eat and drink, and you begin to reduce the number of automated training bots hanging out with the scarecrows.
From an RP angle, it also makes sense that you haven't learned enough in your guild to truly master anything until you're 30% through your guild's training program.
Every restriction in this game has come from abuse by players. Not divine nerfing. History teaches us that players will take every advantage. New players do not get their PK experience at 50, it comes at low ranks because new players have trouble ranking quickly. Veteran Nichers brought about the 80% rule if memory serves me, to create a more newbie friendly atmosphere.
Not like I was asking to stop and fully train my skills/spells at a low level...I just get annoyed that sword is at 80% by lvl 3 and wont go up any more until I get to lvl 15.
the only ones that go up remotely that fast are weapons, and usually you get a couple of those skills at level 1.
Go grab a mace, get that up to 80, then a dagger, etc. ![]()
The only problem I see with Training is songs still take a ridiculous amount of time. From natural leveling you could probably expect +1-3 points from level 1 to 50.
It's really frustrating when your songs fail and you have no way of training them.
