H-Elf and Neutral Clerics

Okay, like I said before, I'm dying for a h-elf cleric.

Now, onto neutral clerics. The RP here is just oozing potential! A cleric he walks on his own, bound only to his dogma, and dispensing death or benevolance as he sees fit by his church. A cleric of neutrality practically gives me an orgasm! (do not say druid, I will punch you in the ovaries because that's what you'd have for saying anything about tree huggers)

Now, I understand from a PK perspective that with all the buffs clerics get that not being vulnerable to some form of alignment damage would put them over the top. But what if they were considered BOTH good and evil from a code perspective and were stripped of the protection spell? Could not use any form of the protection spell?

Okay, I'm done rambling and babbling. Cause that's all this was.

I wasn't aware that there's anything wrong with having ovaries.

When you get pregnant, you can tell all the ladies what's wrong with having ovaries.

o__O

I think you just made Liadon a sad panda....

It just makes parts of me hurt just thinking about it...

T-T

Yes, because you were clearly referring to that specific liability rather than implying some sort of weakness exists in the mere act of having ovaries...

Seriously, I wasn't. I honestly believe if I could punch someone (saying anyone could have them covers this broad base, specifically anyone mention druids which would be who I would wish to target) in the ovaries, it would be incredibly painful.

Can you imagine having ovaries and having someone punch straight through to them?!

Honestly, there was no inference to any weakness in having ovaries. Just like having testicles is not a weakness, but a nasty spot that can be hit outside the body. sigh I know I think incredibly oddly sometimes. It's not always a straightforward method of thinking. But please do not take it as something other than the above mentioned.

can you even once have a thread that doesnt get sidetracked onto some inane topic?

Neutral clerics would be interesting, though how will you decide what ray/path they get?

Clerics are devout, doesnt this by definition require picking a side?

isn't neutral a side too?

Answer 1. Not likely.

Answer 2. Chaotic gets path, Law gets Ray.

Answer 3. Yes, they choose law or chaos. If you want to be a True Neutral, go tree hugger(edited).

Hehe, sorry... was fairly drunk last night.

Can I? Yes. But sometimes Destiny comes along and takes us down a new path. Enjoy the beauty of it, my son.

Neutral Clerics don't get Ray/Path. They get something else. whistles innocently without offering any ideas on the subject

Clerics are indeed devout. Devout does not equal out to kind or benevolant or evil or any ideal. Dogma of the Devout determines the "side". Neutrality religion says something about a Balance.

Oh, and before I forget....

punches Croyvern in the ovaries Sorry, you made me do it. I didn't want to. Trust me, that hurt Liadon more than you.

Clerics are not about good or evil.

They are about being servants of a deity.

There are neutral deities, so there should be neutral Clerics.

I do not see imbalance in Neutral Clerics Mechanic wise.

They are just a Cleric with no Dispel Good/Evil and no protection. The same as any Neutral character.

We already see Combat and and Knowledge clerics. Nothing about those religions necessarily requires good or evil alignment because the religion is not based in goodness or evil.

and no reduction from protection good evil. keep that in mind too.

MmmMMmMMmM. A neutral cleric in Watcher? Yes please.

Neutral clerics are entirely possible, I think. If for nothing else than to preserve the balance (rp speaking) you're telling me that Lytholm is alright with a goodie cleric worshiping him but a neutral cannot? hmm.

A neutral cleric would not have a Ray/Path type weapon. Ray is supposed to purify the body where Path is supposed to corrupt it. I would see a neutral clerics abilities revolving around stopping a fight and making your opponent useless.

RP wise a neutral cleric would not be blood thirsty or holier than god they would simply Walk the Earth and exist. If someone attacks you or you have reason you kill someone you can do so but not because of any holy quest. You remain neutral in the world and let things be as they are. I can definitely see why druid would be referred to as a neutral cleric but it would be really cool to see it as an actual path.

Give them superb protections and all offensive spells would be akin to dispel evil/good and halting spells like slow, paralyze calm, isolate, confuse ect. ect. No real punching power and their escape tactic would be a massive explosion that propelled them teleport and stunned the room.

This is off the top of my head and was not given any serious thought outside of the two minutes it took me to write it.
