I was thinking, its kinda poor RP for goods, to eat that tasty blood soaked heart of thier friend, they got off an altar, just for 30-40 hp.

SHHHHHHHHHH!

The heart should be evil/neutral only

And that nice scroll from Tuo should be goodie only.

If that heart is going to be align based then the scroll should be requestable.

the scroll is good/neutral only

If that heart is going to be align based then the scroll should be requestable.

The way to get the scroll is requestable. But if you mean it as a 'downside' to getting the scroll, I agree.

Is this the rare scroll?

We should probably somehow set a limit to how many nymph hearts anyone can carry?

They do. Its called carrying capacity.

If we're talking about the scroll The nameless is talking about most of the time, I believe the mob is neutral. The scroll itself is rare, and its good/neutral only.

Smart-***.

I'm hinting at limiting nymph hearts by class the way moderates are limited to rares by class.

I agree. I also think it's bad RP for most characters to knowingly poison themselves to prevent sleep/blackjack/etc.... but good luck getting people to stop doing it.

I dunno I view poisoning oneself to avoid sleep etc like a vaccine, I mean, we inject ourselves with influenze to prevent it, measles, etc. Herbel brew is akin to it, its not deadly, and its short lasting.

If you where gonna get in a boxing ring, you would not drink a pint of arsenic t omake sure you never get knocked out.

Considering how unrealistic all damage-dealing in FL is (5 dismembers should mean you're a head, a torso and 4 limbs), any comparisons to the real world are going to fall flat.

The long and short of it is that your character is taking something that your character knows is bad for it because you know OOC that game mechanics are set up in such a way that damage taken while under a sleep effect will wake you from it. I agree that there is some wiggle room for rationalization here, that we can find excuses for doing it (I'm not sure I agree that your vaccine example is a good parallel, but I get the idea)... but I feel like these are along a similar thread as silent PK being justified by the fact that your RP dictates that you kill randomly without talking to people.

I can actually envision characters with RP that would fully allow them to poison themselves before a fight... but I have yet to meet one that doesn't seem to just stretch or ignore RP when it comes to being prepped for battle.

I completely understand the poison so you can't be knocked out. If I knew the discomfort of poisoning myself would keep me awake so that someone couldn't sneak up on me and kill me I'd do it. However I do think that the herbal brews should have a worse side effect, something like the person can't rest comfortably or gets enfeebled due to an upset stomach or something. After all, you can't expect someone ig or in real life to swallow poison after poison and just be fine

Herb smokers should start to have acid trips, where they thing a big large Ogre is comming for them.

Where

PotHead Smoker

BIG BAD OGRE COMMING FOR YOU

lol!

I totally smoke piles of weed and never hallucinate. Unless I ate acid. Once again Mya, you need to smoke pot before you start nerfing my weed

There ARE herbs that make you hallucinate when you smoke them IRL... it'd be very funny to have some in game too.

would be neat if there was a chance at a negative side affect. Something similar to "veil of darkness", as the junkie loses himself to the demons of his own imagination.

Sorry for adding to the derail, please continue.
