lol, get off me! It's true and you know it you further derailing turkey!
Hey here is an idea.
Here is a better Idea.
Roll a fire zerk and camp at lvl 10, kill anyone who enters pk range with no description.
ROFL CAKES
- There have been terrible pkers who earned qrace spots or elder spots in cabals because their rp was very good. (winks at Dey) So it's not really about elitist, it's about you not being able to impress anyone fast enough before YOU run out of patience
Hope I adressed it all.
I was more referring to having an incredibly small IMM base. Granted with 6 people on at given time, there really isn't much justification to have more IMMs. Unfortunately...it is the player's patience that is more important. If someone gets pissed because they spend a week doing a whole lot of not a damn thing waiting for answers that could acquired from a quick private interview with the candidate and leave...that leaves us at 5 people on at any given time. You can't exactly PK if there isn't anyone to fight, ya dig?
Here's my two cents:
Ive dropped a few characters after RPing the piss out of them and not hearing anything except... Resend your application. Would have loved to play what I was trying to make, but got stuck at first base.

Am I the only one who tries to make his chars fun and interesting to play as they are at level 1 rather than purely build them around making them into what I hope may happen? I mean, seriously... I've spent weeks waiting for app approvals (i.e. Vhalen spent around 100 hours or so at level 30), and I stuck with it because he was fun to play just the way he was.
I am with Pali on this one.
Make characters you like to play, right there from the start.
And start RPing from rank 1.
Introduce yourselves to your group members.
Make outlandish claims like the Faerie Zerker. People first ignore or insult you, but latter they will enjoy it.
Invite other players to quests. You need an Emerald sword ? Recruit another player and pay him gold to guard you to the evil dragon tower.
You're not the only one, Pali. ![]()
Unfortunately at the moment I'm not even one of them... I need to figure out something to roll up. I'm starting to have spare time again.
I agree. Making a char strictly on the purpose of power annoys me. I hate seeing someone who gets outcast/booted from a cabal only to delete because there char is no longer what they wanted. So many people get into the habit of writing out their characters life before they let it happen that when it goes awry, the character is "dead". So they turn into a straight pk char, or get baleted. Some of the most fun I have had is just letting RP go off into it's own little world. Let your character evolve, so things cannot get boring.
RE:Pali
I like vhalen at 30 alot. We where both going for undead monk hehehe. I still remember you stunning me while I was prepping, then me coming back and you getting away at awful, and my damn MV ran dry ![]()
Sort of lends credibility to the idea of extending player ranks to, oh, say, 99 or something.
That would be neat. ![]()
How would that work?...
You don't stop gaining exp after you hit 50? ![]()
Edit, hehe I'm retarded. ![]()
Level 99 ARG!!!!
Please lets go back to the Original L20 = god from D&D.

As you've noticed through many of our battles... getting me to awful may not be entirely too difficult, but actually pinning me down for the kill is damned tough. ![]()
YOur always gonna toss that crap around aren't you
.
Roll another Ilendriel, I dare you. I got better, you left ![]()
PS - Please lock this thread, I can feel myself about to literally get immolated.
Extending player ranks, Raargant? They do it all the time on MMOs like WOW and such. Step 1: Release game that charges for playing. Step 2: Release expansion pack that allows players to advance to even more wickedsupercool levels. Step 3: Profit!
We could do that here with some modifications. Of course, IMPs would not be level 60 any more (I have to say, I always thought the idea of Imm levels to be all wrong, anyway...why compare Imms to players? They are GODS, people...)
But, we could open up 10 more levels to anyone who pinns, giving top players something to do, and scale it up from there. If we created a true separate role-based scale for Imms and an Imm indicator in the pfile, there would really be no max level threshold below 32 bits.
The experience equation is already there, anyway. Viri could probably do it in a couple of days. I could probably do it in a couple of weeks. ![]()
I'd like to see more reclassing options before more levels tacked on....New classes that don't have to be applied for so not just more qclasses. Maybe things like druid with an autoquest to reclass.
It brings in more replayability, and extends what you can to on a char without adding anything to the power peaks.
Adding more levels would start to approach the theoretical limit of the highest rank achievable by characters in a normal lifetime. I think that would be fascinating. Right now just about any idiot can reach 50. I'd be REALLY interested to see who can reach, say, 70 when all uber-mobs give roughly 5 experience per kill. That could lead to some really interesting stuff, RP wise, since it would be feasibly possible to level out of 50 PK range.
Maybe Malch will code it so we gain a rank each time we kill your character Crypt. I am sure you would relish all the attention.
And you would NEVER pinn.
ZOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM
