I think the whole honor thing in warmaster kinda makes the cabal less fun. I mean when you think of a great warmaster/warlord/god of war even. You don't think of someone who takes the time to set up challenges with you. They are supposed to extremely cocky and live for war and bloodshed with no care for others, savages even. Well that's been my view. But with recent leadership the rp angle has gotten worse for me. The thrill of killing people when they aren't prepared or looting people to become stronger, and being hated by many is just not there. Anyone agree or dissagree?
warmaster
Deathmark.
"I think it is time for you to die. NOW"
Just attacking them.
"Be prepared for battle at all times, or I will take your hide"
No need to limit your RP as a WM.
Oh there are plenty who deathmark and full loot everytime they kill you. Trust me as I full well know.
With my warmaster I didnt bother deathmarking either - I was in Barbarian so I practically just attacked enemies and people I wanted to pick a fight with.
I think that many warmasters does not exploit the posibilities of rp plots in wm - they are some kind of training warriors just challeging their friends - making the whole char focussed on challenges and then killing a few savants when they finally turn up.
Seems deathmarking is frowned upon and when trying to get into the cabal seems randomly attacking people is frowned upon, and deathmark lets your opponent know you are after them, not really smart in my opinion.
Just become a Barbarian. There isn't the whole honour system behind them really compared to Gladiator. If you go Gladiator, you're supposed to fight honourably, where as Barbarian you can pretty much do whatever will win you the battle.
Please read the help file "HELP WARMASTER". The cabal is built on 3 principles: HONOR, Physical Strength, and Self-Reliance.
That said, also read the help files "HELP GLADIATOR" and "HELP BARBARIAN" and see that one weighs Honor a whole lot more than the other, as already stated.
Use this as your guide and take your RP to wherever it leads you.
But the principle of honor is heavily used when trying to join the cabal in the first place. If I do what I want (battle clan) which I have, my own codes of honor was questioned (first series of events that changed my chars life, won't go into much more detail), whether I wanted to be a barbarian or not was not at subject. Also its hilarious yet frustrating at times seeing so many notes of complaints from others about members of the battle clan doing things **THEY **think we should be doing or not should have done. At this point if i go fire warrior and start waging war against everyone (my idea of a true warmaster) I doubt Athara will let me join her brand of warmasters.
I deathmarked anyone I felt I had a good reason to PK as a Gladiator and never heard anything about it.

Make your RP for you. A lot of people in the battle clan will be complaining or being a nuisance because most Warmasters/Wannabes are those strong-minded people with their minds made up on honour, courage and so on. Though you might feel as if your RP is being attacked, it's more than likely their RP. Of course the honour-bound courageous warrior guy is going to be preaching his beliefs to others who don't share them.
All I'm saying is, stick at your RP and play your character the way you want it, and don't let another char's RP comprimise your own. You will be noticed.. ![]()
Dey
Fire warrior, fire lance, fly. Two round Senrail and I promise you'll get in. Ain't that right Senrail? Bwhahahahaah
Haha - I tried that tactic to get into Savant - frankly they werent very amused that I killed everyone in the tower. Never got in.
Savant is focused on research and learning, not random killing/bloodshed.
It was not random - it was the members that turned my first application down. And tell Onileon or Azun it isnt about killing ![]()
Or zrothum, cylandas
Please note the word random.
Additionally, once in, it is all about killing vendetta'd opponents.
Savant pwns. If you're dumb, you don't deserve to spread your seed around this world. I kill you! I kill you dead!
Killing is part of ANY cabal.
That being said, Savant is not about killing.

Haven't had a Warmaster yet, actually only Cabal I've played in was the old Justice, but from my understanding, Gladiators tend to be honorable, Barbarians, not really anything I've found saying they have to be honorable, but thats just from reading the help files. Also take into account the pc's race. Minotaurs, from my understanding of minotaurs, as a race are concerned with their own honor. As for the thrill of killing who aren't prepared...I personally don't find that thrilling at all, actually anti-climatic. In FL, in my opinion, killing someone thats already halfway dead, or not prepared at all is like the equilivent of me, a twenty one year old man that weighs 280, just sucker punching a ten year old girl in the face. As for the exetremly cocky, I would think cocky comes from the challenges, you get prepared all you want, use whatever sorceries you want, and I'll still whoop your *** cause I'm a Warmaster. As for looting, unless I'm playing a thief, or have a vendetta against a char specifically, I take what I need and nothing more. My reasons for doing this are; I just won the fight, I don't have to worry about that pc because I'm better then they are. Also, its just a bitch to have to go and run through winter or those other places to get something like a banner. If I don't need it, no reason to take it. Thats why I dislike full looters without a good reason, its just a **** thing to do, and then I have to spend the next day or so assembling a decent suit so I can maybe stand against the vet players out there, and have a good fight that lasts more then five or six rounds, so I will improve. Just my two cents, no offense intended to anyone out there that loves to full loot just for the hell of it, or get the cheap pks.
Welcome to fl
I have no remorse full looting people anymore. Because I swear every single time, **every ****single ****time **I leave someone their things I regret it big time. People just take advantage of my niceness. Getting full looting and getting eq back sums up 70% of my time when i was a newbie, if people were so mean to me why should I be nice to others? Also I think this is one factor of the game that excites fear of chars, makes the game more challenging, and brings out emotions that other games just don't give you. We need it just like how good needs evil and evil needs good. Anyway just giving my point of view.
