Life insurance idea

Merchant is a cabal. You have to be Syndi to get it.

Merchant is a cabal. You have to be Syndi to get it.

Tell me something I don't know already?

Merchants do sell outfits, the high level one is very similar to the cabal outfit we have now (slightly better).

That would simply give the caballed another advantage over the uncaballed, the vet player another advantage over the newby (who will have the cp?).

Thus the gap would be even larger. Not something we intend to do.

The caballed face all the risk, so they currently get life insurance...

My suggestion would replace LI in a manner that releases the armor for the uncaballed. While every caballed player will get 4 - 5 moderate owner only rares (eventually, as the cost to get the complete suit should be pricy) they would no longer need similar rares for those slots.

A vet can build CP faster, but any cabal member can gain CP, all it takes is time and presence. Vet or Newbie, actually, a newbie benefits FROM the vet. Since the vet wuold be doing things to boost CP gain, and the newbie would benefit. Sepahoona would pad his younger (sometimes novice) savants by killing other cabal people when his mates were online...

This would give cabal people the security they deserve, as they are forced into rough situations (what LI is for now), but it does so without locking out rares for others use.

I do not see how such a suggestion would "simply" do any of the things you claimed. This would give cabal members, new and old, something to strive for. Also you would be giving the newer players more armor that they can accumulate, but cannot lose...seems like it would help them too in the end.

(and it would do so without "taking" anything from anyone, like the crumble effect in place now...)

I agree with Kyz and Nameless. Imo cabal gear (the good cabal gear) is a complete waste of cp. its better spent binding gear now I suppose, and using li. its still cheaper then buying cabal gear just to have it sac'd. And its really not that good anyway. Neat, but alot of rares are better then the 1500 cabal gear. Like A centurians hauberk is prolly just as good and easier to get then most cabals breastplates.

its still cheaper then buying cabal gear just to have it sac'd.

I don't understand why people are in belief that they cannot burnproof their cabal gear. You cannot sacrifice burnproof items.

(correct me if I'm wrong)

You can sac burnproof items. You cannot sac bound items, which is why he said you were better of binding or li than buying spendy cabal gear just to lose it on the next death. Also, binding isn't permanent.

well, binding -and- li now. to avoid crumbling from what staff said.

Life insurance doesn't keep your items from crumbling. Only binding, and charged weapons (like invokers charge weapon).

Why dont we cap the amount of CPS you can have in total?

It'll encourage you to spend them, and to buy gear for fellow cabal mates and what not.

I'd say a cap around 5000 is more then enough.

That was someone has a MAX of 10 life insurances at any one time... And thats if they arent using cabal skills or buying that nifty armor.

What if someone needs more than that for RP reasons?

An example?

Pay off in installments?

If 5000 is the limit... = rarer = more value?

Supply and Demand, simple economics.

Would love to see this so certain individual who full loot people and hide behind life insurance when they get killed by the same person the full loot are no longer protected.
