Drow "Dark Vision"

They should never be blind in darkness.

Ever...

Ever...

they are not.

drow gets infravision as a racial, on top of sneak.

Lol Liadon <3

Darkvision still relies upon their eyes for sight, so hence kicking dirt and of course the blindness spell (its affect should obviously cause any with special properties to be blind) will cause them to be blind. Now I would agree that maybe they should be able to see hidden with their infravision, as well as duergar's, but unfortunately, would really diminish the power of hidden and throw off a lot of the order and balance of the game.

I"m going to guess this is in relation to certain "darkness" rooms....like a "blanket".

Another intersting thing about not having a light and it being dark out. You can't see slith.

I would think the confusion could be from when you type exits with no light.

even if you have infravision (even as a VAMP!) you cannot see the room headings around you, says to dark.

That's what I mean.

In any fantasy setting Drow live in the underdark. With NO light. every time...

when I command "exit" I should see where my exits lead no matter the time of day.

Most. In most fantasy settings ....

IE: Drow / Dark Elves of Dragonlance are simply elves that turn to evil or are outcasted.

Sorry, just being an anal SOB today.

I agree.

The fact that vampires NEVER get to see their exits (duh no light ever) kinda sucks imo .

Man that sounds kinda annoying.

Another reason not to play a vampire

I dunno, drow in this game are like any other drow in most other stories where they live underground...

I figured it'd be a perk that could be well received. Since at pinnacle elves are as strong as tissue paper in any proper fight. (which is why I use my elves mainly for RP or communing classes.)

Elves actually make baddass :Healers, Clerics, Paladins, Invokers, and Battlemages.

The trouble is new players are as strong as tissue paper at level 50 lol. The learning curve is so steep when its someone who just pinned their first vs someone who has played every cabal and every class. They know what to expect.

In my opinion they make the best:

Cleric

Healer

Shaman

I suppose so, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out EQ, Herbs and anything relating to actual PK.

PK itself isn't all that hard, memorizing the area's, and where one can gather said supplies is the hard part.

Which isn't that hard either, it just takes 10 years of doing it and anyone can be a pro.

The ship set sail a decade ago and I'm left with a friggen paddle boat.

snort Sure, throw my *** down the well, why don't you?

But they get SOOOO many other perks, it's not even funny.

Who uses exits command anyways? I mean honestly.

Here is one that didn't quite take me 10 years to learn, but since it hasn't been documented for about 8 years, I will throw it out there for you...

In your prompt, add a %e, and see if that helps you out a little bit... Drow or no drow...

Just saying...

Who uses exits command anyways? I mean honestly.

shadow grove

forsakenlands

northfields

the mist.

And that gives me some nasty ideas

hell why do you think Valadar died to that bard, coudnt get out of north fields since I couldnt see exits
