LYSENTIES
General
LYSENTIES THE WHITE Lysenties is the White Moon of Aabahran, a pale orb of ice and reflected light. Though it is not a second sun, old civilizations once thought it was. When it is full or nearly full its silver radiance can brighten the night enough for travelers to find their way with ease. Of the three moons, Lysenties is most often associated with life, healing, births, and protections. Many healers, midwives, oathkeepers, and clerics look to Lysenties as a sign of blessing. Prayers for the sick, newborn babies and the newly wed and recently dead are spoken and burried beneath her light. Lysenties is not merely a gentle sight, as when full her light is said to carry a warmth that has little to do with flame. Its light setting over the land with a rare peace, wounds are believed to mend more cleanly and rest comes easier to the weary when laying down beneath her light, with many feeling strengthened beneath her glow. To the undead creatures of the night this glow is less kind. Though her light is only moonlight, it is touched by the powers of life and blessing, however the unliving creatures that linger under the sky may find her radiance painful to endure. Scholars and Heralds sometimes teach that Lysenties is tied to the powers of creation that are far older than mortal faith, but most consider this a topic for deeper study. Most mortals know that it is enough to say that when the White Moon shines full, life remembers that it was meant to endure. See also: MOONS, NERCUROS, DYPHRITIES, LUNAR TRIAD
