FLAIL

These weapons originate from the simple grain-thrashing farmer
flail composed of two wooden parts bound by rope.  Military
flails and morning stars usually include a round head chained
to a haft or handle.

Flails are more offensive than maces or exotics, and easier to 
defend with than axes. They disarm better than swords, shield-
disarm better than exotics and are easier to disarm than maces.
