KOGA

Koga was, without a doubt, the true king of the jungle.  Hailing from the
Escrimir, he knew jungle more than most know their own city, as well as all
of the critters that called the jungle home.  And, most certainly, he got
ALL the bananas.  Life was good for Koga, as he had grown to such immense
strength that he remained unchallenged.  It was perhaps this reason, or his
self-imposed duty to protect his jungle, that the strange flute music of
Grimulfr was directed his way one day.  Koga, doing what Koga does and
skittering along the tree tops doing Ape stuff, caught the faint endings to
some ballad of Grimulfr.  Curious, he immediately changed his course and
tracked down the source of the music.  The meeting of the two was anything
but an accident, though.  Grimulfr explained to Koga that he was to take up
the cause of protecting not just his jungle, now, but Aabahran in its
entirety.  He informed Koga that he would empower him to do so, to ensure
that the Old Ways were not forgotten, and encouraged him to use his strength
to further Gaia's will and imposition in reclaiming what was rightfully
hers.  Koga, seeing this as an opportunity to further prove his dominance as
the true Prime Ape, as well as seeming as the 'right thing' to do, humbly
accepted Grimulfr's charge.  Grimulfr informed Koga that the world was vast,
and that he would encounter horrors that he would never have imagined.  With
this knowledge, Grimulfr empowered Koga with the strength of an immortal,
equipped him with an enchanted club, and instilled within him a furthered
sense of duty and love for Nature.  Thus, Koga the Prime Ape was introduced
into the rest of the world.
