MHALADOR
General
AROGRATH In dwarven lore, the blacksmith Arograth rose to power around time of the Bloodspawn Wars ages ago, and helped the Children of Khorand solidify the rule of law in their great city. Only moderately skilled in combat, it was Arograth's legendary willpower that led many to name him "The Unbreakable," and his uncanny ability to inspire and lead his comrades that earned him the position of High Chieftain. A fair and just leader, he demonstrated a paternal capacity to give to his people, and to care for their well-being, never hesitant to take up arms himself to defend the city at need. For those that would not heed the law, his punishments were harsh--He forcefully banished his own kin from Khorandain to the darkest places of the world, where they eventually established their own lawless city of Gal'Ranidon. During his reign, Mount Khorand would ring with the sound of his hammer and anvil, as Arograth would turn to the trade of his father to clear his mind and meditate on difficult decisions. A strong believer in the letter of the law, Arograth also greatly values tradition, structure, and fine metalwork. Among dwarves, Arograth is as a father, righteous and just, a protector and peacekeeper. Among the duergar, he is spitefully reviled. Other than a bitter disdain for his dark cousins, Arograth judges the free people of Aabahran by their actions--Those who obey and uphold the law deserve his respect, while those that disregard it learn his fury.
