Exactly, this is something like a small penalty too. I don't see why people are objecting so much, it is not like I am suggesting them to gain something which will make them more powerful PK wise.
And SandBox, your logic is really strange. If a creature's mind is so developped that it can use it as a weapon, why wouldn't it be able to use it as a means to comunicate? It's like saying that a Moto GP pilot won't be able to ride a bicycle.
I have wanted to play several various telepathic restrings, but someone told me a long time ago that only psions, illithids, and demons could accomplish it. I agree with the fact that its a bit of a self inflicted burden, and have always been curious for an immortal opinion on whether telepathy should be "application" worthy.
If I've learned one thing all the time I've been here it's that the game is only limited by your own imagination. You want a character to get telepathy, play it the same as you would any other qrace/class wannabe. Roleplay your *** off, have a good application, and do your best
Unst got Telepathy, so did Zaulael. I did an application for both and got both accepted, one was an Avian, the other a Human, then later a Lich.

psions don't need anything right now. they can kill you without a single round of combat ever happening. but yea i was kidding, dont take me so seriously lol.

You make no sense, you do realise that telepathy is not a PK skill, right? It will grant them nothing PK wise, and even the contrary.

I was gonna mention that I know Unst had telepathy. But haven't we ALL learned that if you put in the work, you just might reap the rewards. Particularly as telepathy isn't some kind of PK unbalancing skill, more of a really sweet RP vehicle that happens to hinder a chatterbox in PK.

i have the logs to prove they can kill you without entering combat.. atleast one other person here other than myself and Zhorkril can vouch for that. Quit pretending you know what your talking about until you've experienced it 1st hand.
I'd love to see you quote me on any "shaman pk" comments i've ever made and please do point out anything i've said thats incorrect about rangers. I'd LOVE to hear either one of them. Because i KNOW i suck too much with shamans to stick my foot in my mouth and give "pk related" comments.
I've played about 30-40 rangers now so i'm pretty sure i know what i'm talking about in those regards, I've been able to kill just about 95% of the people who attack me in gear equivalent to my own on my rangers. The people i can't ever kill are the decked out (V-L) in cabals, with their stupidly OP spells that offset the balance of the game.
AND if you talk to your target and they cant hear you there's a pretty good chance they are asleep, you wouldn't know if they were asleep if you had telepathy so it does affect pk in ways. (you actually lost a bit.)
That being said the last thing i want is another psion putting me to sleep for 1 1/2 hours and FORCING me to listen to their crappy strait-out-of-the-box, band-wagon been done 300 times before rp. (which is 90% of the rp we see these days.) not point at any person in specific....
