IDEA #1

What if, we took the Avatar concept and changed it up a bit?

Instead of having Avatar’s for one Deity, All Deities would have one Avatar, with the exception of Crusader/Psion/Demon/Undead/Werebeast/Angel(read idea #2) Immortals. Much like a truly devoted worshiper would be granted the Mark of their God as a shining example of someone living the principals of their faith, these Avatars would be the best of what the Deity in particular stood for and would serve as their Voice/Hand. This Avatar system could be set up “similar” to how it is now, except offered variations on granted abilities much like the variations of divine intervention which depends on whom you worship. However, the progression as an Avatar, like the progression in a Cabal, would be granted by that Deity over a course of time based on whether or not that Avatar has lived up to their God’s expectations. (an added stipulation could be the killing of other Avatars/Q-Races to prove you are worthy of advancement…which adds to the concept of the Gods striving for supremacy among themselves through their mortal followers/pawns)

Personally I think it should be around 3-6 stages of divinity for chosen Avatars to go through bringing them closer to their God, which would mean 3-6 granted powers/abilities…which could be some type of holy aura that offers ac/saves/hit and dam to auto-flight/auto-sneak (just throwing out possibilities)

The requirements could be

Must be rank 50 and Un-caballed

As well, no Avatar could join a Cabal, all their time and devotion is to their God (EVEN if said God runs a cabal…Avatar’s do not have time for petty squabbles among mortal men, they seek enlightenment by way of divinity and forever strive to prove their Deities prowess)

IDEA #2

If we are going to change our point of view on Avatars, then we need something that will replace the Q-Race for all the goodies… Since we have Demons…why not Archangels? Archangels on the path of PURITY! Their race would change to Angel and they would be created along the same lines as a Demon/Undead, gaining aspects of their transition while they strive to reach level 50

IDEA #3

What about Neutrals…more importantly…What about Nature itself? The struggle between good and evil rages on and the extremist Gods look most favorably upon their Champions, twisting and corrupting the natural world. So, why not spruce Werebeast up a bit and make them a Q-Race for neutral humans? Blessed Children of Gaia gifted with different aspects of natures best…

For example…

A Werebeast could transform into one of the 4 different types of werebeast we have now, their choice, offering the varied pro’s/con’s of each form…

These are just general idea’s…maybe by discussion we can work out the kinks…

I wish I had a gold star to give to you. I like it, a bit rough, and vague, but the concept is great.

Is a decent idea however the archangels would have to be the avatars of darkness, I cannot see them being anything else.

Yeah, I left things a bit vague so that the idea could become defined by the community here...

As for Teralis, why do Archangels have to be "avatars of darkness"?

I was just wanting to find a name/concept to replace our current use of the word Avatar...since I thought the name Avatar would best describe the specific Chosen/Embraced/Blessed (call them what you will) of a Deity...so, I thought...we have Demon's...why not use Archangel to replace what those gifted by the Light of Purity were called... Archangels are Warrior Angel's in my book...example...Micheal from the Bible...shrug

That is the FL definition of it which is a bit different from the definition usually used/understood in real life. I don't undertand why only purity religion has avatars for example.

@ Teralis you seem to have a problem with people disagreeing with your posts (thoughts). If you don't want this to happen perhaps you shouldn't be posting at first place?

By mythology/religion in RL archangels have a higher rank than anges, just as archdevils to devils.

Hmmm not being religious I thought he was an angel, then when entering the pits of hell became an archangel. Could be wrong, havent bothered with any kind of religion since a child and had it beaten into me by a want to be preacher step dad.

And disagreeing is fine, I disagree sometimes to but I try to not make my post look like a complete shot at those I am disagreeing with. And yes I am wrong sometimes and will fully admit it when I am.

Michael is the greatest Archangel. He is referred to as "THE" Archangel periodically throughout the bible. I was raised baptist and they do a wonderful job of beating the good book into your head... oh and telling you that you are going to hell. Oh, and not recognizing each other in the liquor store.

Avatars of each Religion? Help tattoo.

well if avatars had abilities that would be worthy. As it stands some tattoos are INSANELY powerful, and some are less so amazing from what I have seen first hand.

Wouldnt really matter to me if the tattoo made a farting noise and threw spray string at people, it is mainly an rp thing for me and if I had one I would know I was doing something right.

Edit: Lytholm good point, however many of us has forgot about them slightly after some imms dont beleive it should be something you apply for as more the gods grants it to a follower most worthy. (which I still dont agree with)

What are these tattooes about? I've never had one and I've never fought someone who has had one... what do they do? What are they given for?
