Disable DELETE command for players.

Realy, some people just can't control themselves.

They create a character and when something goes wrong they feel like the world is on them, and they rage delete.

A week after they come to their senses and get second thoughts.

Sometimes they are just tired.

And few use Delpass, anyway. Because when you create a character you never intend to delete it, so you have no reason to set it. I myself probably only did it once.

Anyone wishing to quite the mud can ask the IMM's to ban them as despiser did.

Although i think this should never be granted.

I do not agree. People who rage delete deserve to lose their characters

agreed. get that angry over the intarnat? prob shouldn't be playing this game, anyways.

I nominate Mya for president.

Their fault for NOT using the delpass... they get what they deserve.

more bad information

And the queen continues to deliver. You my friend are wrong. EVERY single char i make is created with the intent to rage delete at 50 after a bad death. It (aside from RP) is the only reason I play this game. There is just something satisfying about training a monk for 4 months, ranking to 50, dying to a healer, and then deleting. i LOVE it.

IKFL

You can take that idea and run straight to hell with it.

EDIT: And even if this did happen, I used to set delpasses. You know what? In my fits of rage, I still think quite well. I changed the characters password the same way I set my delpass....jam on the keyboard and close the mud client window. Guess what? Rage Delete Over Time.

I have regretted no deletions I've ever made in this game, except a LONG time later when I just wish I still had that combo pinned and trained so I could randomly kick some @$$ with it.

I actually regretted deleting a few of my earlier characters. Then I just remind myself that they weren't fully trained so I just roll the same thing up and do it all over again the right way.

I, for one, am not in favour of the 'Nanny State' mentality that has been suggested here.

I have enough issues with my government trying to take my real life rights - I don't need my rights taken away in the fantasy land I retreat to in my spare time.

Lytholm.

Isn't it illegal to kill yourself? Or since you can't be persecuted if you succeed, it's illegal to fail to kill yourself. Let us delete if we damn well please!

I think it is illegal to assist in a suicide.... But I don't know everything. I'll stick with my plans of finishing my history degree.

But back on topic. If someone wants to delete let them. If it's rage delete then too bad for them.

I dunno... I find a sick joy in finally catching you without life insurance, killing you, and full looting to the point you get so pissed off you missed your special little barrier protection and delete.

Done it to a few of the toughest pinns in the past. Such satisfaction.

Also cannot argue with Lytholm's statements.
