description level change

I was th inking maybe description level could be changed to 30. As it is now there are very few classes who can do anything really beneficial while waiting 2-8 hours for a desc check, most classes do not have all their defenses, and useful skills. This would not change too much, and alot of people that i have seen stuck at 15 are stuck there for several days.

Hm, I agree that fifteen is kinda low, but thirty seems a bit high.

Only thing that kills me is that you can barely train anything at all if you can't get past the desc check. 15 is open to like.. some defenses. That's about it, rarely even second or third attack if at all. 20-25 seems a bit easier, still doesn't let characters get too far and is usually enough to get second and third attack, as well as a few of the more specialized class skills to start training.

If your description is the first thing you do once you enter the gates to Aabahran, you will mathmatically increase your chances of faster approval.

yea, but alot of us are lazy, and if your level 2, and get asked to hunt? pff. Ok

I agree with the original suggestion.

I dont get the problem, my new char just had a desc check. I just sent a note, went to sleep, woke up and it was done.

Well...it doesn't always work that well Aulian. I've had a note in for about 18 hours now and no description check. Interestingly, why do we have to get our description rechecked if we got from adventurer to a regular class? Its not like it changes automatically.

So you can get the experience bonus/stat bonus again. Duh!

from past experience of waiting till 15 to write my description... it takes forever. Now... rather the last few years, I already have a description and a full history written out before I even roll a character. Like Malch says. You have a better chance going forwards past level 15 if you ask the imms to approve your desc before 15. but since everyone... it least most of you are so eager to get to 50 are too lazy to do so, you wait to the last minute. Then complain that there are no imms on to approve you. You guys are just to inpatient.

edit: I'm sorry if this does come out as to strong... but I have been drinking a bit.... and well I'm just pissed off at my boss.

o_O i agree with the angry drunk lady.

It took me DAYS when i wrote one for my zerk. Liandra's was written at level 1, and approved by level 8.

Much better doing things that way. I can remember the boring pass-time of finding out everything I could and could not kill.

Her name is ROSE!

I thought her real name was Palwen?... or am I sadly mistaken?

The imms don't want to change the level 15 cap, and while I disagree, I still think we can all come up with a solution somewhere in the middle of this.

Maybe this has been implemented behind the scenes, but my idea would be make the description process somewhat like the app processes. (It's my recollection that lower level imms don't have the ability to pull a character online)

Once you finish your description, type in desc submit and it throws your desc in the list for imms to read/check. Allow any imm to approve the desc on the list the same way it works now. People who are still aching for the shot at a dragon can wait, people who don't care can submit.

I do feel that the current system isn't working. In the past week I've seen two people who I assume are newbies confused about the desc processes on newbie chat. I know to train skills while I wait, but they don't, and probably shouldn't worry with that, so maybe something more like this would help. It allows more imms the option of offline desc checks, hopefully speeding the process. I have waited more than a day for a desc check after note, hell I have had imms on that never check my desc after a pray. (I'm looking at you, Z.) Sometimes the imms are busy, sometimes they don't see it, I understand that. I think something more like this might help the situation.
