Executions

I think you're jumping from one extreme to the other there.

There should be some sort of middle ground.

Really? That was how it used to be and honestly it's the only one that even almost makes sense and still allow goods to capture other goods.

The middle ground would be that goods can fight back against good Tribs trying to capture them. Which is what most people want.

Resulting in what? Automatic mercy? Death for the Tribunal? A sort of renegade capture system in which the goodie imprisons the Tribunal in the Temple of Light and they sit there for forty hours contemplating the evils of trying to hinder the work of another lightwalker?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I actually want to know what you think. The solution to the problem can't be "let goodies KILL" the Tribunal, because that isn't very balanced either.

One of my good characters killed a good Tribunal. I got cornered and decided to stop running and fight instead. It was either his death or my own, at the time, my character knew she would be hanged if she was captured (the Tribunal had told her so). Obviously, I got outcasted, but I did not have much of a problem with it since I killed another good. After that, I tried to just stay clear of Tribunals till I got unwanted. Some of my characters would probably do the same in a similar situation, some of them wouldn't, it kind of depends on roleplay/ethos.

I think goods should be able to kill other goods, personally. As I've said before, I think perception changes morality. Chaotic good avatar paladin could very well, in character, reasonably and logically think a good tribunal is corrupt and evil. The Tribunal can in turn think the renegade good is corrupt and evil, not believe in the law, and willing to let others perish for the greater good. In all honesty, it's rather silly that goods can't at least mercy other goods. It's completely reasonable, but obviously, as is everything, it could be abused so that would have to be watched. But that falls under the category of my current signature.

But what do I know, I don't play goods.

Edit: Wtf happened to my siggy? o.0 Gotta find that... again.

You guessed right the first time... I think goods should be able to fight good Tribs to automatic mercy (and maybe even get a piece or two of eq from the Trib like the Trib would from them if the Trib won, to make the fight still actually cost the Trib something). I just dislike how it's a risk-free endeavor for a good Trib to hunt a good criminal.

Agreed.
