Cabal of entertainers and artists.

I have seen someone try to organize something like this before. It was like Kip and Pip Bastarge or something.. little 'Runt' restrings. But they had like some troupe or something they were putting together. And like... I tried something like that with Abhaamis, but I royally ****ed my rp to whore hell and lost any hope of that going anywhere, but.... I think it would be cool if there was like a RP oriented group similar to Herald.... as in not intended for pk purposes upon joining. Perhaps cool **** like the following:

The ability to use minor creation to make interactable scenarios.

Abilities to create quantities of food and drink.

Some kind of advanced RP abilities, such as the ability to echo and perhaps echo within an area range.

Advanced scribing abilities, and perhaps the abilities to put flyers in towns.

A catalepsy ability.

Diplomatic ability.

Capability... to rock... h a r d.

This is why clans and cabals should be made separate again... so that people could make a clan to do just this.

Most of those abilities exist in some capacity already.

I don't foresee hard-coded abilities being added to the clan system anytime soon.

Grim, after a night like I had... I love you.

I love you too, man.

Maybe we could offer sub-cabals to Herald. One being the Scribes, Scholars, and Historians of Aabahran, the other being the Entertainers, Artisans, and Event Orchestrates. In my opinion most Scholars and Scribes fit more of the anti-social group where Jesters and Diplomats are more of the social butterflies.

Dude, where are you from? When I was in college, it was the Historians that were with all the loose women, playing up the good times. Them, and the kids that did work study as data entry specialists, typing up newspapers and what not, they were the life of the party. Not social? God... I'd hate to be where you hail from.

Too much?

Perhaps it is a cultural thing... But I can assure you the Philosophy Professors and Majors were always the ones off in a seperate room talking about everything and nothing with a select group of people. While the Art Majors and Drama Professors were living it up being as loud and outgoing as humanly possible. Oh, but trying to stereo-type anything never makes room for the individual and misses the point I was trying to make.

My suggestion was simply to offer the Heralds a means for different perspectives where some would join their halls to be entirely interactive with the Player-base by coming up with social events with the Imm's and creating more of an atmosphere within Aabahran while the other side of the Heralds would focus on collecting works for the Library and running the Academy. Making the Heralds a cabal worth being in several times over.

Yes, the Heralds are expected to do all that as is, but like any cabal with a sub-faction every member could work toward the same goals without having to be seperate, but making them separate creates better playability while offering alternate RP angles. Besides, it is just a suggestion...you will either agree or disagree...

Sorry, my sarcasm was hard to read today. I'm agreeing with you. I think a sub division of heralds is something to think about. But heralds history has nothing to do with entertainment according to the help file. They were basically like War Council for the Knights during wars.

But, things change, and Aabahran might need some awesome folk artists to come in and sing unintelligibly and get labeled the best folk rocker in Aabahran's history... when he did nothing spectacular that some guy named after a Tree didn't do a hundred times better.

So I guess that means Phil would have been a watcher?
