But if clan elders can promote, and cabal elders can demote, and if you're a cabal elder.... then you're a clan elder too, then can't you both demote and promote?

I think a lot of people do, I haven't been taking great pains to hide it lately.
I think its rediculous that clan elders cant demote.
I have had many times where people would of had their butts kicked down a rank or killed for their mouthing off at clan elders, yet our hnds are always tied.

Send a note to your respective clan L. I guarantee that person will be removed or demoted to Inductee.
I still think they should just be able to demote. The way I see it, if the cabal L thinks they're responsible enough, and have good enough RP for E, then they deserve the ability to handle their clan.
Does anyone think it really matters if they can promote/demote or not? They are an Elder FFS - they will just send the info they have to the mortal/immortal leader and let them sort it out.

I'm with you on that for sure, but I still think anyone who proves themselves enough to make Elder should be able to just assert it. "I'm gonna have a talk with " isn't as authoritative and whoopass sounding as "DEMOTION" sit down sucka.
