Maybe a command to turn off all the socials? So no more grins, shrugs, etc.

do you mean that you don't see them or that if you type 'grin' and you do not do it.
If you type grin, you wouldn't grin evilly.
EDITED: I get it. You want to turn them off so YOU don't grin evilly when you grin.
Side note, just use the macros on Gmud to set up emotes.

Without socials though, if you didn't have macros set up, you would get nothing if you typed 'grin' (ie, the "Huh?" message).
With macros set up, the macro overrides the socials.
So I'm not sure what's the point of this.
Sometimes I do a social that I didn't intend to do. Usually this happens when I'm used to an alias on one char and then I switch to a different char. Some good embarassing examples, which I have mostly all replaced with aliases so they never happen again:
Typing "rep" for reputation and reporting my health/mana. I actually think this command should be removed entirely.
Typing "aa" and screaming, instead of autoassist toggling.
Typing "cur" and curtseying, or worse, "curs"/"curse" and swearing loudly.
I can see why you'd want such an option, but personally I use too many of the socials to ever want to turn them all off. I just do my best to mask the ones I might accidentally use.
