Unlimited Impressions - top of page - (468x60 Banner)
$25 per month or $150 for 7 months. Your banner will be added to the rotation at the top of nearly every page on the Top MUD Sites. You will also get an icon of your choosing that will appear next to your site on the ranking list. The banner should be 25 KB or less in file size.
Additionally, you can use a flash banner for an additional $5 per month.
This is pretty sweet. $185 US dollars for a flash banner under 25KB. I -KNOW- we have some banner wizzes out there. So everyone, make your banners. Use flash, make them snazzy. Just keep them under 25 KB. Go check out what is on the TMS bannner already. We have to compete and still keep our credibility for being hardcore. The best one, we will put up once the website is looking good.
We also need a small Icon that will catch eyes and represent FL.
Yes, that means I am offering to front the $185 dollars if no one is willing to donate. Though if everyone donates something small, $10, it would be nice for my pocket.

(I am not expecting this to happen for at least another month, so I will be budgeting for the $$ for then. So if somehow the website gets awesome sooner than that, we will just have to wait. Also, we need to stay in the top 20 for my deal to stay valid)

i agree. it's simplistic, playful, and enticing. the words could be in dark pulsating gray saying "Aabahran, join the horror" or something whack like that.
What about Google AdWords? I just checked out their services and you can specify how much you want to spend.
How many people actually use google to search for Muds?

Hrm, it looks like they might not take ads from sites with violent content. I don't see any ads when I type in web sites for MMORPGS.
I didn't see this at the time, but if you are still up for doing this Mudder, I can prolly design a pretty nice banner. Its not a huge expense if people chip in...something like 1$ a month.
Some of them are ignored because the topic doesnt interest the reader.
And sometimes a player reads every thread because he's a forum ho like myself. I dunno if it's a good or bad thing. :/
