He means a pure merchant cabal. Not a subcabal I beleive.
I'd say only make one merchant class. And keep the trading in syndie. The playerbase is to small.
I like one merchant class idea. If there is alot of interest in the merchant, then perhaps a trader guild or something could be opened. I would want to put my merchant in a trader cabal, but I wouldnt put it in syndi to do so.

That being said... I like the idea, a lot. And I would love to see someone come up with a real skillset (not my mockery of one) for the TRADER cabal.

I'd say be patient. Something similar with the Trader/Syndi cabal I feel is already in the works.
