If you want to know how good a script is check its changelog.
Like...phpbb and vbulleting. Phpbb is REALLY nice for a free one, but Vbulletin is just..better, but ungodly expensive.
Check phpbb's changelog and you'll see things like "Fixed error which grants full admin powers to guest". I love phpbb, but some of their bugs in the past have been nasty.

I remember that...some people believed it into like...late 2.0...I remember people claiming it was true...way after...
I don't know...maybe some kind of update should be done on the site so potential players don't get turned off by the fact that the last "news" or whatever is from half a year ago... and then be all like "whatever." and then leave.

If any site changes would be done, I know I'd love to see the list of players and how much time they've spent on the MUD...mostly because I always forget the names of the guys I create and lose a good roll because of a few letters. Not a big deal, but it was a cool feature back in the day. Though, good call on getting rid of the who's online button...way too much abuse/cowardice.

For what it's worth, Joomla seems to totally pwn. I've set it up several times, and it's probably one of the most comprehensive CMS'es out there. PHP/MySQL based, easy admin, and it has some great plugins and free templates. I'm running it on http://www.jaxrock.com, and a handful of other sites.
Anyway, if you want graphic help, or site help, I'd be glad to assist. You know, after I pick out that new curtain pattern for my den.

Heh, still have the "equipment". It works, (evidenced by my daughter), but it's really just on lease to me now.
