Tribunals

So they can want people for anything they basically want? I got wanted for not paying some dumb fee one of them decided to make up because I did not carry trash to the Watcher cabal. What happened to the penalty for them wanting without a just cause?

What penalty? It's an empire, not the good ole' US of A. And right now, an evil empire at that.

well thats dumb...now people get to rot in jail cells for half an hour without breaking any laws. The fact that they are supposed to be lawful, hence follow the laws of the city, makes it even worse.

It is RP. No offense, but for someone who is complaining about not getting enough of it, you sure don't respond well when it is in your face. Roll with the punches.

  1. Lead a rebellion

  2. Don't go into the cities.

  3. Join a cabal/clan that wants to destroy the cities.

  4. Join Tribunal and change it from the inside.

  5. Other creative options that I'm not thinking about at the moment.

Pick up all the trash and leave it at the tribby hall

I would love to see that. LOL. It is one of the reasons why we made the trash takeable.

I remember that crossing the Royals back in the day was the #1 way to get smited by those on high...If we are allowed to pimp slap the rulers back to whatever pit they crawled out of...alright. But throwing someone in jail for not dishing out 500 coins is not RP, considering that it is extremely one-sided. Especially when the Tribunal is decked and you are 98% naked and they are strolling around with Blood Guards. RP is give and take, not ruin everyone else's game experience for getting your giggles by running up your numbers on the role call.

That's a good way to get Exiled

What if his rp is to but everyone under his boot heel and rule in a tyrannical, overbearing fashion that way noone can question his authority/power? He is a drow you know, and typically drows are very sneaky, underhanded, caniving ****ers. I mean really he has roleplayed that very solidly since any of my chars have interacted with him. I assume this is aivaros btw given the shout outs posts. But just keep in mind everyone plays this game differently, and tribunal is NOT justice, tribunal is an empire, and empires are run by those powerful enough to take control.

Read the law tomes (section 5) in the Rheydin Library. It is well within a Tribune's authority to demand 500 gold. And come on, it's only 500 gold (not to mention there's a time limit on how often Tribunes can demand it). Not one-sided at all.

You were allowed to cross/PK the rulers all you want; just not to use socials like spit and defecate on them.

You are now, because they now have powers to deal with that sort of behavior. Just don't expect to find it fun

It's only 500 gold that they'll never get their filthy mits on......they can demand all they want, it's up to you to decide how to shut them up.

Also...I think you'll find the enforcement of that law, from what I've seen, differs from Tribunal to Tribunal as their RP sees fit.

The tome seems to indicate that it's at their discretion.

I just hope someone takes initiative and starts a new player-made clan called "The Resistance". I mean come on, in all good films and games, any groups that look to rebel against oppresive empires are always called "The Resistance". They have crappy home made banners made from cloth rags with pen scrawlings, and they are masters of scavenger warfare in towns. And even though there'll only be a few of you in that clan, it'll be alright, because the Empire Goons are always poorly trained; small groups of fighters or lone warriors always manage to defeat hordes and hordes of ridiculously stupud foes.

Yeah, and The Resistance should be called: Watcher.

Yea, but 'The Resistance' are solely dedicated to removing the oppresive empire and running their own lovely democracy, as opposed to the Watchers, who want to have forests filled with trees to hug > cities.

I have the idea all planned out. One of the Cabal skills is instant EQ after death:

A grubby vest.

Some worn combats pants.

A 'phat' cigar.

The cigar provides random 'echos' whilst in combat, such as " looks at you, raises a hand towards you as if to pause combat, takes a relaxing smoke of his cigar, and nods to you to resume combat."

A prerequisite however, is that you have keys F1 upto F12 bound to twelve different cliches.

Invoker's hellstream <<>> you!

You say, "Wow, things are really starting to heat up around here!"

Invoker's icicle decimates you!

You say, "Why don't we take a moment to chill out?"

et cetera...

Rumour has it that the Cabal Leader has a skill that actually enables them to dodge insane numbers of blows when pitted against unreal odds, allowing them to truly take the empire on.

Just sounds like your poking fun at us americans for whoopin your english arses!

If you wonder about the trash. I've been picking up the whole city of it. Thats like one hundred trash dumps each pass. And threw them all into the tribby's hall. Should have logged the part where the Tribby walks into his hall and comes back out to where 347 trash is sitting on his altar. That was funny.
