Once at Band Camp

As I was hunting with some Ranger who enjoyed trowing objects I thought, "Hmmm, what if Bards could throw Instruments?"

Try dodging a flying War Drum!

Seemed like an interesting skill:

throw

Well, if you've ever even talked to a real life musician, he's not terribly willing to toss around his fifteen-hundred-dollar guitar, for example.

Although, imagine what kind of damage a gong could do if thrown discus-style!

Well, now toss the average musician into a PK situation.

Guitars V flying!

True. Depends on what kind of musician, though. Hardcore, mohawked punk rockers already toss their instruments around. Put a jazz musician in a PK situation and he'll just mellow everyone out.

Kinda like calm.

There's a new song to be added to the repertoire...

...but is it the kind of Jazz that puts you to sleep?

More like heavy metal rockers would throw their instraments... a lot of punk bands wouldn't have the cash to buy new ones.

Yeah, that kind of smooth late-night jazz.

Or you could just put on some weird freestyle jazz and watch their head explode.

Bard throws his instrument at you.

Bard's Piano >>>ANNIHILATES<<< you!

Now that did HURT!

Or...

Bard throws his instrument at you.

Bard's Wardrum bounces off at you!

You laugh until you die!

You have been KILLED!

I can just imagine some Bard with a flute full of darts. Noisy, musical death!

Red hot chili peppers, or any rock band. Alot of older rock bands used to through their guitars in the air. Myself I could not possibly throw a PRS Santana II in the air for fear I would not catch it.

Very true. However, I'd do it with one of the guitars that come in those beginner packs. Twenty dollars worth of guitar, maybe.

screw throwing guitars, they should be able to beat people to death with banjos.

EDIT: I wasn't dissing the idea when I said screw throwing guitars, just like the idea of banjo beatings more.

Just playing them should be enough damage, do bards still have a sharp discord? Or whatever that song was? It was always my impression it was a banjo inspired damage.

Nah, Sharp Discord went out the window when they revamped Bards in...I dunno, '04 or so?

The blasphemy!!! Banjos have a wonderful sound. That twing and twang is just my kind of thing.

My grandfather could play the banjo, used to do it for me when I was a child. Loved it. Still love Bluegrass music to this very day.

Thirded, banjos rule. Motion passed!

(banjo music on FL every mon, wed, fri)

Little known fact, but I'm one of the few exceptional viola players in existance.

Halfway between a violin and a cello.

Bluegrass music? Hehe, kind of like an oxymoron isn't it?

You play Viola? Self taught or did you take lessons?

I'm majoring in Music so its nice to see someone else who plays classical music.
