Introduce mining and harvesting to certain classes:
Invokers- can combine wood and metals to create a staff to mana charge. Limit sub affects to flaming and noremove. But different
materials could grant limit size for mana charge amount. Haven't
played an invoker in a billion years so I don't know which staff/
stave/orb currently holds the max but make it comparable, if not
a little bit better. Invokers can still pick other ones, but it gives
them a little flavor.
Battlemages- can combine wood and metal to create dancing blade or
upgrade their existing blades spell, but not both. Dancing blade could be made of vuln materials, to buff up bmgs a little bit in that dept. If
the blades spell is chosen they get either a trip (low %) or a flash
effect (similar to dirt, maybe half duration).
I was going to include monk's beads, but let's see how the existing changes play out.
I know Crusaders have something already, but I'd like to see am ArmorSmith thing for warriors. You'd have to select it as a lore, so no double dipping. Same thing, different materials would grant different stats/effects. It makes sense the Warrior class would be able to alter their armor.
Clerics could make Holy Symbols, which they must wear (taking a neck spot) and different materials could have different affects due to different deities. Just spit balling.
All this could just take a page from Bards instruments, but I'd leave them with the ability to do multiple things with maintain just to keep them with something special.
Just an idea I had rolling around.
