Alestim smiles lightly, in an innocent way.

The mannequin Alestim was created as an animated humanoid for the training of minor kindred and demons, and given life by the blessings of Anume indirectly. The mannequin escaped and stupidly followed people around for a while, making its presence known.

Eventually, it was recaptured and commanded by clerics of Anume, alone with a boy reporter ordered by his father to follow it in hopes of denouncing the Heralds and becoming a popular tabloid writer. The boy had been witnessed following Alestim for some time, by the Heralds. He had actually pried them for more information for his father.

While captured, the clerics intended on sacrificing the boy to Anume in a slow painful torture. A better idea surfaced from unknown sources, and forbidden magic was used to interchange the mannequins sentience with the boys. This was done for the sake of treachery, as we will soon find out.

The two, after recovering, cleaned up. The boy in the mannequins body bound the mannequin in his body tightly to himself for fear of it getting away. For quite some time, the boy in the mannequins body sought out help for reclaiming his body. He asked many for help, Tristin seemed to be one of the only to take active interest. In a conversation, however, Trelik the Tribunal Guard Captain sought for a way to release the boy from the mannequin legally. Both Tristin and Trelik believed, like most others, that the mannequin wished the young boys soul for some dark purposed. They watched in earnest as the mannequin struck and abused the poor small child, in frustration. Neither were able to speak.

Finally, a group of citizens grew tired of the lack of what they believed was justice. Neither the Knights, or the Tribunal, stopped the travesty of the mannequin dragging the boy about. It most certainly was torturous to see. None made any attempt to find the poor boy when abducted, and now THIS!

The citizens strung up Alestim to a pole, doused him in flammable material and prepared to burn him. The boy remained bound to the mannequin in their haste. They chanted and became fearless, soon ready to commit themselves to renegade justice. Tristin was the first to show up, followed by Trelik, Palwen, and a group of others.

Trelik demanded order, and the citizens demanded a trial which they were granted. Questioning began, of witnesses and the like, accusing Alestim of abduction. The whole while, Tristin slowly created a torch and placed himself in a position to set fire to the pole, mannequin, and the surrounding hay around it.

An assassin appeared, trying to kill the boy. This acted as a diversion, and the assassin spoke of threats and almost convinced all that the mannequin was indeed evil. He attacked the child, was strung up, and offered few answers other than his initial monologue. The diversion did allow Tristin to do what he believed his God would have him do, and he dropped a torch upon the hay, igniting a large fire.

The mannequin burnt, while most tended to keeping the child safe. The rope binding the boy to the mannequin burnt and he was free. During the chaos, the guards began to attack the mannequin, executing him and the assassin. It was only then that the truth was made clear.

The horrible death of fire and blade was inflicted on the boy, trapped in a mannequins body. Finally able to speak, he screamed any cried for help. He was soon dead. The boy himself, snuck off... now known to be the mannequin seeking human frame which he indeed achieved.
