Jistanius tells you 'I was conversing with the Master of the Tower before is
sudden departure to other plans, perhaps you could answer some of my questions,
Master Magi?'
You project to Jistanius 'Perhaps, depends on the nature of your inquiry.'
Jistanius tells you 'I am curious as to whether any of the Tower's tomes or
ancient scrolls have been translated into common tongue.'
You project to Jistanius 'For what means?'
Jistanius tells you 'I seek to establish the oldest religion on Aabaharan, the
Master says its more in line with those of Mysterium, yet he is looking into
some of the records, perhaps he himself will attempt to gaze that far back.'
Jistanius tells you 'Before written record existed.'
You project to Jistanius 'An interesting quest.'
You project to Jistanius 'Why would you care to know?'
You project to Jistanius 'This i find a better focus.'
You project to Jistanius 'What relevance could such knowledge have on the current paths of choice.'
Jistanius tells you 'Brought on from speaking with the Archfiend, the One teaches
us not to judge a book by the cover, but to open it and understand.'
reYou project to Jistanius 'Its an odd thing to even be concerned with, is why i ask.'
Jistanius tells you 'It is my belief that the worship of the One, my own Lord, is
the oldest religion upon Aabahran, I believe I have been put on this task
because I am seeking my own redemption.'
You project to Jistanius 'Ahh, why such a presumption?'
Jistanius tells you 'Would you care to meet in person, to better discuss this?'
You project to Jistanius 'Has there always been life and death?'
You project to Jistanius 'Hmm?'
You project to Jistanius 'Has there always been life and death?'
You project to Jistanius 'Ahh, but then the religion of cycle would be oldest.'
You project to Jistanius 'For it is based on this principle.'
You project to Jistanius 'Not on a specific entity.'
You project to Jistanius 'Argumentavily each path could pronounce itself the most ancient.'
Jistanius tells you 'Yet the dark lord Virigoth abandoned this plan, I was taught
in church while I was young, that the One is the beginning and end of all things.'
You project to Jistanius 'Indeed.'
You project to Jistanius 'But one who follows the cyclic nature of all things would believe it the oldest.'
You project to Jistanius 'As all things are born then die, it is the natural order.'
You project to Jistanius 'BUT! it is natural, thus nature is the oldest path'
You project to Jistanius 'For it is natural order that birthed the cycle.'
Jistanius tells you 'Perhaps, I was also taught that the One placed the other
gods, the Lesser gods, in the heavens to Shepard and guide the mortals he has
created.'
Jistanius tells you 'You see why I seek to know if its possible to gaze back far
enough into time, to the very beginning of all things....'
You project to Jistanius 'But wait! purity sanctifies the natural order by protecting it...no, this cannot be the
oldest.'
Jistanius tells you 'You see my dilemma, for every answer comes a dozen more
questions. Thus, I hoped those, most learned in the lands, might hold the
answers I seek.'
You project to Jistanius 'And if the answer is not to your liking?'
You project to Jistanius 'Those of the one god are renowned for being rather...one minded…single sighted? ...'
Jistanius tells you 'I will cross that bridge when I come to it, I am secure in my faith.'
You project to Jistanius 'But in the end, what does it matter?'
Jistanius tells you 'It will settle my conscience, and perhaps open the eyes of others.'
You project to Jistanius 'But in truth, who cares which is oldest'
You project to Jistanius 'For each is active in this present time'
You project to Jistanius 'What does it matter to beings that follow a fixed track through time .'
Jistanius tells you 'If you were to learn, that the deity you serve, was created
by the One, and works his will, would you not reconsider the evil you have
wrought through your foul necromancy, learning the Divine Plan of the One?'
You project to Jistanius 'What evil have I wrought?'
You project to Jistanius 'Perceptually all I do is for the good of the herd races.'
You project to Jistanius 'Though I am capable of seeing the contrary perception had by those I collect, I know I do
for their better.'
You project to Jistanius 'So the one has spawned the cycle that I follow and study.'
You project to Jistanius 'Well, then it is a laughable irony that the one might have spawned purity, that seeks to burn me out because I am. different..'
You project to Jistanius 'Or guile for their attempts to steal my tomes.'
Jistanius tells you 'Aye, but you may be viewing only a small piece of a larger
puzzle, the Lesser Gods became corrupt with their powers, and act like children,
with we mortals as playthings.'
You project to Jistanius 'Hah, you are presumptuous to imagine that immortals for the most part consider us even worthy of a thought'
Jistanius tells you 'A month or so ago, I had the experience of witnessing such a
being upon the mortal plane.'
Jistanius tells you 'Amusement, I said, what they consider are worth, who knows,
we may simply be pawns in a cosmic game of chess.'
You project to Jistanius 'Or we may be a mistake...'
Jistanius tells you 'Would you consider speaking in person with me, I assure you
I will not allow any harm to befall you while we parlay.'
You project to Jistanius 'You broach basic fundamentals that old monks rattle on about as they wither.'
You project to Jistanius 'Come to the swamp north of the Escir.'
You project to Jistanius 'You know of where I speak?'
Jistanius tells you 'I shall do my best, I am unfamiliar with that swamp, but I know the Escir.'
You project to Jistanius 'Travel to the path littered with bug shells and go north'
Jistanius tells you 'Or its location I should say.'
Jistanius tells you 'Aye.'
You project to Jistanius 'Do you find your way?'
Jistanius tells you 'I journey from the far north, it will take me some time, a few hours.'
You project to Jistanius 'Aye'
Jistanius tells you 'I do thank you for your time, and knowledge.'
Jistanius tells you 'Through the dark path?'
You project to Jistanius 'North from the entrance, east at the trap…to the bug shells then go north'
Jistanius tells you 'Aye, I have found a ruin instead, I retrace my steps.'
You project to Jistanius 'I summon you'
Jistanius arrives suddenly.
Jistanius sits down and rests.
A young man, tall of height and broad of build, with an almost shaven
head, course, bristly hairs of an ebon hue adorning his crown stands here,
left hand upon his hip, while resting upon his right shoulder, a large
greatsword is clutched by its hilt in his right hand. In odd contrast to
the hair upon his head, his goatee and mustache are of an auburn shade,
streaked with golden highlights. His eyes are of a deep sea-green, rimmed
in a dark blue halo. His face is broad and hardset, square jowled, with a
good sized nose, its nostrils flaring out wide. A neck seemingly belonging
to a minotaur connects his head and torso, the shoulder muscles able to be
glimpsed from underneath his -v- necked tunic of a dingy grey are large,
flowing almost from the base of his skull into back muscles of a
considerable girth. A wide, studded leather girth is cinched tightly around
his waist, which is tapered noticably from his well-developed chest and
back. Attached to the girth are strips of studded leather which form a
skirt, covering his thighs yet leaving his bulky calfs bare. Upon his feet
he wears a pair of sandals, with bands of leather running criss-crossed up
his calfs, tied in the back. Around his neck from a leather cord dangles a
plain wooden cross.
He has travelled quite a lot.
Jistanius is in excellent condition.
Jistanius bows before Stytnlye.
Jistanius looks at a stone golem.
Jistanius looks at you.
Stytnlye cocks its had to the side as its thoughts echo about.
You broadcast 'I have distrust of ..zealots..'
You broadcast 'There is no way out, but with the key i hold.'
Stytnlye peers at you with alien eyes.
Jistanius says 'Understandable, many focus upon the One's Wrath, and forget his
mercy.'
You broadcast 'Perhaps.'
Jistanius says 'Violence is always a last resort.'
You broadcast 'I find the zealots fire a blind ignorance that periodically rises enough to destroy more than itself.'
Stytnlye appears to be as it was a moment before.
Jistanius says 'That may be, bit you will find that I am unlike most of my
brothers and sisters.'
Jistanius stands up.
Jistanius closes his eyes momentarily.
A magic meal suddenly appears.
You broadcast 'Perhaps.'
Jistanius closes his eyes momentarily.
A magic pig roast suddenly appears.
Jistanius closes his eyes momentarily.
Jistanius drinks water from a water jug.
Jistanius gets a magic pig roast.
Jistanius eats a magic pig roast.
You broadcast 'So speak your mind, herdling.'
The Timestream returns to its normal flow.
Jistanius says 'I have come to learn your own thoughts, and philosophies, there
must be a reason I have been lead to the steps of the Tower.'
You broadcast 'Perhaps, many are called...but you are not fitting the usual mold.'
Jistanius says 'You call us herdlings, and say you work a greater good, I am
interested in learning.'
Stytnlye crosses its chitin covered arms.
Stytnlye raises a tentacle in an odd gesture.
You broadcast 'You seek to know of the harvest? i thought you sought histories from before history.'
Jistanius says 'I do, yet the One leads me to the Tower, perhaps for another
purpose.'
You broadcast 'Hmm what purpose i wonder, that is the focus.'
Jistanius says 'It is not for we mortals to know the minds of Gods.'
Stytnlye makes a nasty gurgling sound, a chuckle?
You broadcast 'I would not wish to know the minds of most gods, some are quite mad an i would fear infection.'
Jistanius says 'I would like to avoid most of the lesser gods.'
Jistanius says 'Even those that seem to have been wrought to Shepard the mortals,
delight in playing with them.'
You broadcast 'The harvest is a collection of the actual minds of herdlings...to preserve their knowledge in the
way of the illithid.'
Stytnlye points sharply at your skull.
You broadcast 'Eventually you too will have to be harvested.'
You broadcast 'And all you gather will be gathered and stored within the tower and the hive.'
You broadcast 'This is my purpose.'
You broadcast 'You see, is this not a...good..course?'
Jistanius says 'I can understand your goals, and while they are worthy, I believe
there may be a better way.'
Jistanius sits down and thinks deeply.
You broadcast 'Oh?'
Stytnlye makes that same nasty gurgling sound.
You roll up your maps.
Jistanius says 'You seek to retain the knowledge of those you may absorb, Aye?'
You broadcast 'I do not seek to, it is what i do.'
You broadcast 'My race has existed longer than any utilizing the passage of thoughtpatterns...now i apply this to
your race, as well as the others.'
You get the barrel from a belted
sack.
You drink water from the barrel.
Jistanius closes his eyes momentarily.
A pig arrives suddenly.
Jistanius's charge attack MANGLES a pig!
A pig is DEAD!!
You hear a pig's death cry.
Jistanius mutters something quietly to himself.
Jistanius peers down the pathway towards the bottom.
Jistanius says 'I understand your race does not sustain itself with mundane foods.
'
You broadcast 'No'
Jistanius peers where the pig toppled off the stairs.
You broadcast 'The matter of thought is what sustains us.'
Jistanius says 'Shall I fetch the corpse, so that you may sustain yourself?'
toddler arrives suddenly.
A zombie of Traven, the Chieftain of
Desolation fades into existence.
A zombie of Traven, the Chieftain of Desolation's crush DISMEMBERS a toddler!
A toddler is DEAD!!
You receive 0 experience points.
You hear a toddler's death cry.
Ok.
A toddler arrives suddenly.
A zombie of Traven, the Chieftain of

A toddler is DEAD!!
You receive 0 experience points.
You hear a toddler's death cry.
Ok.
A zombie of Traven, the Chieftain of
Desolation's crush DISMEMBERS a toddler!
A toddler is DEAD!!
You receive 0 experience points.
You expertly extract a still warm brain from a toddler's corpse.
Ok.
You get the brains of a toddler.
You eat the brains of a toddler.
Mmm, brains...
You are full.
You broadcast 'I am quite self-sustaining, thankyou.'
Jistanius backs away from Stytnlye, a look of horror upon his face.
Stytnlye makes a rather hideous face..a smirk?
You broadcast 'My very nature must offend you.'
Jistanius says 'Even with your harvest....they have learned so little in their short lives.'
You broadcast 'They are food...i do not harvest them'
Jistanius closes his eyes momentarily.
Jistanius bows his head and is filled with a virtuous light.
You broadcast 'Is the pig much different?'
Jistanius says 'Aye, it is....'
Jistanius has been divinely empowered!
Jistanius says 'You do realize it is possible to sustain yourself without the
taking of intelligent life?'
You broadcast 'No, it is my way.'
You broadcast 'Just because my way offends others, is no reason to change what i have done for over five thousand
years.'
You broadcast 'Oh? so you would starve me to satisfy your preferences'
You broadcast 'This is the zealots fire.'
Jistanius says 'It is your preferences.'
Jistanius says 'Have you tried to dine on an animal, as do all the other races of this world?'
You broadcast 'So, you came all this way..to this dark place..to disscuss the eating habits of my race?'
You broadcast 'And to threaten me?'
Jistanius says 'I did not, yet I had no idea you would slaughter mere children in my presence.'
You broadcast 'Not a wise course.'
You broadcast 'I test your presumed tolerance.'
Jistanius says 'I do not threaten, I merely say I cannot allow another innocent
to be slaughtered...I knew I would step into the jaws of shadow.'
You broadcast 'You humor me.'
Jistanius shakes his head from side to side sadly, moving to reclaim his
position upon the steps.
You broadcast 'You come preaching words of tolerance.'
Jistanius sits down and rests.
You broadcast 'Yet once tested immediately show your inability to cope with the real differences in the world'
Jistanius says 'I understand....your need to feed...I can only imagine what it
must be like to require such things to sustain oneself.'
You broadcast 'And you wish me to search history for you, to discover the true origional religion?'
You broadcast 'Yet you cannot accept even the simplest differences between our races.'
Jistanius says 'I wished the Master to do so, I am also willing to read what
scrolls and tomes have been translated into common.'
You broadcast 'What will you do, herdling, if what is discovered is as contrary to your belief as my choice of
nourishment'
The Timestream returns to its normal flow.
Jistanius says 'He has told me that those of the Temporum cannot gaze so far
back...'
You broadcast 'No'
You broadcast 'It is not our nature to gaze'
You broadcast 'More to use.'
Jistanius says 'But to the One that holds the keys to the Tower, more may be open
to them.'
You broadcast 'There are no mysterum.'
You broadcast 'None.'
Stytnlye makes a gurgling noise.
You broadcast 'Only myself, and the time lord.'
Jistanius says 'But surely there were, and they have left records....'
You broadcast 'Yes'
Jistanius stands up.
You broadcast 'But my current focus is whether you are capable of accepting what you might find?'
You broadcast 'Hmm, is your mind prepared to be unhinged by naked truth?'
Stytnlye taps its bone knife on its chittin covered chest.
Jistanius says 'I am unsure what might be found, yet I feel it has become the
One's purpose for me to discover the truth.'
You broadcast 'Oh?'
Jistanius says 'How that will change me, the One only knows.'
You broadcast 'And how did you come to such a conclusion'
Jistanius says 'As I have said, the One seeks for us all to live in harmony.'
You broadcast 'Blind faith is a dangerous fount, as it is often times at the whim of the faithful.'
You broadcast 'Harmony?'
Jistanius says 'Elf and drow....Illithid and human....'
You broadcast 'Yet you mean to attack me if i seek to feed again.'
Jistanius says 'Aye, he created this world, and the Lesser Gods, as I was taught.'
Jistanius says 'I mean to save a childs life.'
Jistanius says 'That is not a natural death.'
Jistanius stands up.
You broadcast 'Oh? and what of my life? is it not worth sustaining?'
