For kinesis psi with a lagging pet, breach/bash/paralyze is the win scenario.  Being able to law gate if they escape was gravy.  Honestly psi's shouldn't be allowed in Tribunal.

Psi is powerful in any cabal, regardless until someone knows how to fight them.  Psi have great -ac and great offensiveness.  But, beat them up quick and they have real trouble.  Chase fast, and they also have serious problems, even in Tribunal.  As a Pande psi, I didn't worry about many except a certain syndicate ogre ranger.  Savant was pretty much the same.  But, face a smart minotaur or ninja and you'll have real trouble.  Kinesis also isn't half as scary unless you get that summoning bracelet.  It is powerful for sure, but I'd still be more worried about a Tribunal vamp than I would a tribunal psi.

Evil Psi's might have trouble if they get beat up quick but a good/neutral does not have that problem because of a certain scroll they can horde.  Plus wish + slow.  Only mino's and their unlimited charge lag were ever a problem.  A well played thief would also be a problem.  I don't think any other class/cabal combo would be.

They're powerful for the reasons I kept saying back when I played....the fact they can cast very potent spells outside of memorization with no penalty to spell level.  If spells outside memorization were cast at -5 spell level, that might provide some balance, IDK.

I agreed they were overpowered before because of the regeneration AND ability to drop saves indefinitely.   However, I disagree that casting spells outside of memorization is the problem.  It might be the problem for kinesis psi as they are the one's who have the most offensive toolkit.  Even alteration has a rather offensive toolkit in a different way.  But, telepathy has neither of those, so to classify all psi along those lines is not correct.  Kinesis has mindsurge so even your mind thrust hurt hitting for maximum damage.  Also, keep in mind your were casting +3 spelllevel during the daytime during your time.  That's no longer the case.  If you look here, you were essentially decked out in all a psi needs but still went full offensive because you could against a race with a mental vuln.  You took out a magic resist with offensiveness as well.  But, that is how a kinesis psi is played.

Having seen some of your toolkit when we were playing around, you definitely are correct.  Destruction and Alteration can take a much more straight-forward approach with a lot of utility being able to cast out of memorization.  I honestly don't know how you reconcile all three of them.  In some ways I feel like psi's should be played kinda like a monk.  But instead of chakra/bolt/thrash perfect combo, you're relying on your spell set selection combo.  You try to land your planned combo for a win and if it doesn't work, you reset and try again. 

Casting out of memorization nullifies that.  Anyway I don't want to beat on a dead horse.  I just posted these for entertainment....I said enough about it on prayer :P

But, it was a fun read.  I was thinking to myself, man Gerfunkle had you set up just right for the kill.  After that breach he could have returned and hypnotised or petrified you and then recovered.
