At this point I would go for bodyslam instead of haymaker and probably lock, if the things looks good. He is big nasty wounds and you are raged, made somewhat good hits on him previous round.

Easier said than done my friend. Cordrey is a Barbarian Warmaster and can utilize glimmering staves to protect his pack. Also as a beastmaster path ranger, he can reliably call another mammoth if he needed to. I had thought about focusing on his pets but it ultimately ends up with me blowing through too much of my health. He's very good about managing his followers. I've had much better results focusing on him directly.

Side note: In my opinion the behemoth is far more of a PK threat, as it throws out some heavy magic based damage and can paralyze and trip.

True, but if I miss that bodyslam, he's going to flee and return to have his pets soak up some of the damage while I'm lagged for 3 rounds getting beat on. Bodyslam, even as a giant type race, isn't as reliable as you'd think. If I can get a haymaker to drop his sanctuary I can potentially burst some really nice vuln damage against him, even if it's just for a round. That was my thought process. I rather gamble on a skill that only will lag me for 2 rounds of combat and can instantly sway the tide of battle in my favor.

I agree that you can miss, but with giant race and 103 bodyslam (or may be more) is really good part to try it more against non-giant races. I've seen giants lagging almost whole fight rangers. 

With my experience (which is not much) I would still say that it is really good to do haymaker in the begining of the fight, taking some advantage of the enemy AND if you are going down and use it as a final way to take advantage by removing enemy sanc/protections.

In this case, you raged and he on big nasty without you've tried a single bodyslam I would do bodyslam on your place and I am almost sure that at least 2 will enter (much higher chance) and possible 3. Of course, he can still flee after that, but when you have the advantage of the battle you could try to keep him in battle bodyslaming him. Thanks to my reasonably high AC (I would assume), I would estimate that Ulfran misses about 50% of the bodyslams he attempts against me. We've fought a dozen times or more, so he's had plenty of time to learn that bodyslamming me rarely works in his favor. I personally think he did the right thing in this instance, it just didn't pay off.

Well, first I would like to congratulate both of you for the great battle and log. Was really fun to see it :)

I've tried to advice this, because of two things A friend of mine had 700AC shield war and most of the bodyslams and rushes went through it without a problems, I've saw quite a logs there. Also I've had a ranger(s), probably around 10 or a little more, but no warmaster, as I've said I am not feeling myself much experienced, but I've battled some really good people and actually the most ways I've been killed is when a vampire, warrior or berserker locks me down and I remember being with around 500 AC, not that high I assume. 

Usually I do not feel myself good enough to give advices, I am just saying what I would do. But since you've battled a bit more battles, then you are much more aware each other.

@VenomKeep in mind that Gladiators can't enlarge bodyslam.

The mammoth is a much bigger deal than the behemoth IMO as you lost out on 6 rounds because of the mammoth jumping in front of him.

What I would do is take out the leopard right off the bat. If you win a dice, immediately " kill leopard;dirt ranger " so he can't order his other pets to kill the leopard. Once the leopard is dead, I'd jump on that mammoth. Taking out 2 pets forces him to always be down a pet because of the timer. 

You had him if the mammoth didn't save him at the end.

I would start with keeping the ranger blind and target the weakest pet, the leopard. Once the leopard is gone, focus the mammoth. Get rid of all pets outside of the behemoth first so he has to wait forever to get it back, once the pets are gone you have the win.
