The Knight Castle rises before you, the towering walls pristine and
gleaming so bright that they threaten to blind any attacker. Huge granite
blocks stack seemlessly on top of each other, the left side of the Castle
rebuilt to match the older part to the right. A gleaming coating has been
applied to the granite, responsible for the blinding gleam, no doubt used to
reinforce the already impressive fortress.

And I teleport away. In retrospect, with the sanctuary gone in that last few rounds, I should have been going for hellstreams only and piling on the pain, but I wanted to have some control over where she was fleeing (and was hoping for a fire blind). But the loss of my protection at the same time gave her too much additional damage to withstand at my already low health.
Also, I felt like she was blinding me way too easily (less so in this particular bout, but in 30-45 minutes worth of encounters today I burned through 8 gyvels and ~45 dark red potions, plus 2-3 cabal healer cure blinds. For reference, I have -18 to spell and -21 to mal. I'm always trying to figure out how to upgrade my gear, but I need to balance AC (mine is considerably lower than it should be IMHO), spellsaves, and hp.
