You are too hurt to do anything for a while.

Liches have that nasty opener you should have used...may have helped land a follow-up curse.  But yeah, monks can pretty much run the same script for every mage/priest.  All the Tarsonis PK logs are pretty much the same except he might kick dirt if it's a communer :P

Monks can be such an irritating fight for both sides, honestly. I've fought Zoichan and seen his chakras fire every damn round and I've fought him a day later for over an hour and not seen a single one fire. Its such a weird fight because you can't really "predict" the lag outside of thrash/trip. Its so hard to time skills against a monk because of that random ass chakra strike, lol.

Full phylacteries make landing that curse sooooooooo much easier.  I always tried hit and run tactics vs monks.   Don't sit in combat and let him thrash you or disarm you.  Cast flee repeat.  Try a hypnosis maybe.  Sitting in combat like that is what got you killed.

My Lich vs Salith fights were always like this too.  The best advice I can give you is just don't fight him, you will NEVER win.

I don't like hit-and-run vs. monks cuz they get to recharge chii bolt (which doesn't take long enough IMO).  So basically you end up being bolt-lagged every time you engage.  At least that has been my experience fighting them.  The only mage I've ever had success consistently vs. monks was Grezath since he was immune to the chakra stuns.

I miss Grezath.. :(

Me too, me too...I haven't been able to get into a character since.  Last couple have been half-assed at best.  But if I'm going to play anything seriously, I have to figure out a new Mac client.  Maybe in the Fall.
