The comment was both specific and non-specific. The specific part goes to Tassin. The sentence structure talks about two other named characters and Secundus. It contains enough ambiguity to easily pertain the ganging back to one of the other mentioned characters. It has potential to create issues, if you see? This is why I prefer character names not used as examples. I read this as a joke (from tassin). You don't really need to be so serious when judging a post. Just my two cents, anyway.

RE jibber: Divine Updates do not need to be updated. Common sense shows that these forums have been pushing towards a more positive tone for a great length of time. I'm not stifling anyone's speech here. I'm pointing out aspects for which there is thin treading. I encourage you all to please continue as you wish. Probably because the forum has been dead for a great length of time. Why? Not entirely sure, but I know I stopped posting when I was judged for every little thing I posted. Just seemed pointless to say anything if I was going to be reprimanded for it. And as much as I'd like to continue talking about it, I'm pretty sure de-railing the thread on another topic entirely just won't do us any good.

Uff... this is not about any specific character. It's about the system we have in place.

Having different people run different cabals will inevitably lead to different promotion/induction times which is a core problem and creates a lot of negativism, envy and a feeling of being overlooked/ignored.

PS. Celerity's idea about IMM(s) leading two warring factions is not a bad one too. The idea is to spread the leadership of more cabals between different people, so coverage and decision making is more balanced and attempt to avoid overlooking.

PPS. Agreed with Jibber's post above too. A wise man once said, "Be the change you want to see (in the world)" - in regards to your positive tone remark.

You lack patience and that is what is stopping most of your chars. I've played uncaballed in my clan at 50 for three months before. It happens at times.

No offense, Anume, but this is a rather absurd standard to expect people to adhere to. Now, I've spent 100+ hours at 30 waiting for an app response, both of my last caballed chars spent dozens of hours at V while fighting any enemy they could (but since rarely were there kills/deaths, that willingness to fight is simply unnoticed by an IMM unless they are on at the time), so I've got plenty of experience waiting for things... and in my experience the thing that really keeps a character going is growth, having something that you're progressing towards. The feeling of being stuck in a rut certainly contributed to my ending the aforementioned chars, because doing the same thing over and over is boring and frustrating. 3 months - frankly, even one month - with zero progress is the kind of thing that makes someone stop wanting to play a character - not to mention the game itself.

By the way, Elrozin, I suspect the reason people name other chars that seem to not be getting the rewards they think they should should is because when you mention your own, it just sounds like you're whining about not getting what you want rather than expressing a sincere concern with how things are being handled.

I see what you are saying here. I didn't realize how my comment could come off. I was leaning more towards the example of my WM who was stuck for months, and I eventually deleted because of it. My current char has only been waiting for about 2-3 weeks, which I find acceptable. But I agree with your comment about growth and having something to strive for.

On another note with Secundus. I noticed him battling a Delgolchi and Lortikan (of which both were at T) then Lortikan got rewarded with an E after Secundus (whom was at V) eventually logged out. Hard to understand that one, unless the guy has absolutely no rp and loves ganging people lol.

Hey Elrozin, I didn't even have ganging anywhere on my mind when I wrote this. I was making a joke referring to Secundus possibly having no rp or loving to gang people . Both of which I doubt but have no actual idea about which is why I thought it would be funny to bring up as a joke. I don't remember ever being banned before and was pretty disappointed at the immediate response I got. But I also see that I could've been more clear. My mistake.

What happens when you try to take the first step, and yet get no reply for a month? Watchers are down to 2 people and 1 doesnt even hardly play anymore Vors has been great to the watchers and easily could be T if not E by now... I dont think hes so much as talked to his immortal once... For that fact I think I've been seeing less of him... And not to mention already lost Talgrath to no interaction... but I can understand being busy... hey so much as one simple log in and a note saying I'm busy I'd get that but nothing is kinda like uh.... Anyway I think you guys could be onto something having imms be incharge of multiple cabals, I know for a fact that certain tribs have been promoted instantly one got jumped without even waiting the wait time to T. I can see why Vors has dropped down his playing time.

:eek: Good lord, we've walked a long way in such a short time. I mean, not too long ago we had people banned and posts deleted due to folks not cooling down and not seeing about what went wrong, and now, this.

Call me weirdo or whatever, but I felt rather good after reading your post, tassin. The expression of understanding and acception instead of raging was, as generally, unexpected to me.

In a word, yes. To give enough details that it is conversation-relevant to bring up the situation is to give enough details for people to figure out who you're talking about anyways, and solid examples are far more useful for discussion than hypotheticals - saying that people aren't being promoted/rewarded enough and not providing examples is to make accusations without providing any supporting evidence that they are justified accusations.

Solid examples could just as easily go up in the Prayer Forum if they're needed. Discussion with each other generates good ideas. Abstract will suffice for this. If one of my characters began to be discussed on the forums, I would not like it. I don't even like receiving shout-outs, but, everyone is entitled to do so. However, making an example out of someone, especially in this system of promotion that exists fosters drawing connections from great to good to bad to worse, could create issues. It hasn't yet and I've issued a warning (no one was banned!).

Being abstract leaves the impression that one is making things out. Even at this moment, when I actually provided valid examples, you guys are still acting like there is no problem. You nitpick the examples I used, when they are only examples, and ignore the bigger problem...

Do you agree with us that certain cabals advance their members faster than others? Do you think that it would be a good or bad idea for multiple IMMs to run multiple cabals? What are your thoughts on those two questions? Not saying that any changes should be made based on your opinion alone, just asking to see what you think.
