Locked blood filled voulge

for sure its not cool to keep dying over and over again. But Zho did restore your character in the beginning of febuary, as he's done with others that have died to the bug. I just checked the prayer forums to find the thread. The last time Ulthar condeathed was fair and square, and I watched that one, thats why I asked what bug.

If the bug is not fixed (not sure if Zho -just- restored ulthar or if he squashed the bug) it could be because, he had more important things to do. Tongor fixed a bug a few days ago that was messing up every item that gave a skill boost, potentially able to affect -every- character. Like Volg said, some are harder to fix then others, we might be unable to fix it at the time, but it will get fixed, as soon as it can be.

What I really have trouble understanding though, is...if you -know- the weapon is bugged, and it will result in condeathing of your character under x circumstances...why would you use x weapon in x circumstance, then get mad about it. Its like standing on the side of an interstate, watching vehicles fly by you at 70 miles an hr, decide crossing the lanes of traffic on foot is what you -want- to do, then get mad when you get run over by a car.

Here's your sign.

Sorry, but I'm going to burst your little bubble. First off, I had NO IDEA that anything would result in condeath. After the fact I was told that this had been brought up YEARS ago and OBVIOUSLY had never been fixed. PERHAPS it was FORGOTTEN about or whatever the case may be, but I do appreciate your assumptions and just for your wrong assumption....

HERE IS YOUR SIGN!

"I don't play here anymore but I feel like I still have a right to complain."

And complain you do. A lot. Get in the fight or get out of the way.

And sorry, I wont log on the forum and try to help get some things fixed or get ideas for any of you guys. Thought I'd at least stick around to check the forums, but screw it. I got what I wanted which was my description. So peace out.

Fact is, you aren't logging on the forum trying to 'help get some things fixed'. You're a complainer. Plain and simple. I'm not really that upset, but it's just who you are. Do you have a right to be upset at condeathing over a bug? Yeah sure. Did you really need to make 3 posts in general about it? Nope. One post in Prayer would have fixed your toon.

As far as I am concerned, don't stick around the forums if you aren't going to be constructive. Glad you got what you wanted. Peace out.

I think this thread needs to be put to an end. It turned from useful to a case of butthurtism. Negative energy is never a fun thing to be thrown around (with an obvious exception of course).

No, stick around. I've given my 2 cents during inactive periods plenty, there's nothing wrong with doing so.

I would, however, advise paying more attention to the tone and phrasing of your posts if you want to avoid giving a spiteful impression. It is that which I think gained the negative reaction, not that you had the temerity to post while not playing.

Pali is good at customer service. Yea it was the whole lets let more warmasters condie from it...which has happened, for the span of a day or two til zho could fix it. However no one has ever condied from a bug and was told too bad, roll another character. My customer service has just been maxed out. If you wanna have a discussion and talk like a -mature- adult, I'm cool with it. If you wanna throw around half-baked assumptions, I'm just as good.

Ex: I posted in prayer about a bug a while back, and I just wanted to give you all a reminder that it does screw over x class/cabal/race in x fashion, and still needs to be looked into, as the issue has yet to be resolved.

Pretty much the same thing you posted, just without as much...negativity seems to be the pc word to use. I personally feel that someone that doesn't take the time to be tactful, doesn't deserve my time in being tactful, I'm fully capable of doing it, but I'm also not being paid to do it, nor compensated in any form aside from the enjoyment I do get rping with players with my imm or a random npc. Now, as a player, I tried to be tactful in dealing with the various administrations that have run this game, because the staff is providing me...well, with a game, I love to play, for -free-.

Luckily for us all, I'm the minority on staff that thinks (we) the staff, should treat you all as you treat us. Anume, for example, I have seen, get cussed out, and a plethora of racial slurs be hurled her way, by a player, for several minutes and she did not respond in kind. She gave multiple chances for the player to apologize, and in general to calm down. If I was her, I would have just banned on the spot and let that be that.

Now, this player was not Ghrundor, however, I took offense to the way he posted, as I felt he insinuated that we, the staff, are sitting there, knowing the bug is there, and just not caring to fix it. The way the op was worded, it came across to me (had I not had the ability to go back and track down what he was talking about) That multiple warmasters have condied from this bug, and that was that. No mention that staff did take steps to remedy the situation with individual players, i.e. restoring exactly the number of bugged deaths that they took.

I apparently did assume incorrectly, that you knew about the bug prior to your TEMPORARY condeath, since you knew (while I didn't) that there was a bug with the voulge, that had apparently been around for years, as you said. I didn't know, you didn't know it was bugged, at the time. But looking through the prayer forums, no one has condied since you did, from prayer posts at least. I am unable to look at bug reports in the game, at this time. My assumptions were based solely on the information provided in your post.

If this would have been on prayer, I likely would have just not responded, and let another staffer with more patience handle it. I felt the need to respond, incase a new player came across this thread, and got the impression that the staff knowingly lets bugs exist and does not care to fix them, or that this staff will allow a player to be negatively affected by a bug, and do nothing to remedy the situation.

TBH, if anyone doesn't have the patience to deal with someone complaining about a mechanic that made their experience less than enjoyable they should:

#1. Not reply.

#2. Not be a cocky SOB.

#3. Breathe in.. and just ignore it.

#4. Have a little empathy.

If you can't have any of those, I personally would rather you never reply to any complaining thread I have (and I have quite a few, and most are legit.. most out of frustration and things going horribly bad for me). I was once told by an IMM that if I'm frustrated, he would MUCH rather I take it out on the prayer forum, then in game or back up some sort of RP revenge with it.

So all of you who went "dude you suck, you don't even play anymore, leave" can seriously stop posting. If you don't have patience, don't even bother.

If you wanna throw around half-baked assumptions' date=' I'm just as good.[/quote']

I'll bite, just because I was recently banned for making "wrong assumptions".

Where is the assumption in Ghrundor's post? It's not an assumption that this bug has been brought to the attention of the immortals years ago. It's a fact (here is the thread in prayer, from 3 years ago). And that bug doesn't influence WMs alone, no idea where you (he) got that from. There are certain sets of circumstances that trigger it (I believe it is having the voulge sheated then being poisoned, then dying from the poison, but I might be wrong) that will get you poisoned after you become a ghost, naked and not affected by anything.

I personally feel that someone that doesn't take the time to be tactful, doesn't deserve my time in being tactful

Noone asks you to be tactful. We ask you to be fair and non-biased.

  1. Never said to not complain. Agreed with Pali in the way complaints are expressed.

  2. I'm a mirror, I treat people how I'm treated. Doesn't make it right, but its the way I am.

  3. I do, most of the time, I'm human, and flawed.

  4. I do, most of the time, I'm human, and flawed, see number two.

F0xx, I already said, "What bug?" which I thought made it clear I had no idea -there was a bug- with the voulge. I also said, I was responding solely on the information provided. You just provided more information. The assumption was that we'll wait for more warmasters to die before its fixed.

Again, working with what I was provided, the logical assumption is that the bug effects warmasters. I have no idea where he got that idea that it only affected the warmasters, but I got that idea from him.

I didn't realize I was being unfair, or biased, and I'm still not sure how if/how I was either, feel free to shoot me a pm, and I -will- listen. Just don't attack me personally, or the other staff. There's a difference between constructive criticism, and just plain criticism.

Taking Filth's advice, thread locked.
